From our personal experience I had no prior knowledge on the K1 visa or where to begin till I came across this site. Everyone here is very helpful and has always been willing to answer my silly questions :)

If you read this site's procedure suggestions very carefully, and you've got a pretty straightforward case, just do it on your own. You can ask here (or call NVC) any questions you have, or things you're unsure about.

Using a service or a lawyer won't make the process go any faster if you submit everything you're supposed to.
