Pending F2A on Tourist Visa

Hello everyone! I'm new here but I've been following this site since 2013. I have a pending F2A visa (PD: October 7, 2013) but managed to get a 10 year multiple entry visa. ? I'm now in the US with my husband but I'm still going back to my country so I wouldn't jeopardize my F2A visa. It has been a misconception that when you're on F2A, you have a slim chance of getting a B1/B2. Well, that's not true at all. I purposely registered so I can empower those who have been waiting so long to try and get a B2. Just don't get your hopes too high so if you get denied, you wouldn't be too disappointed. As for my experience, I told the consul all the truth during my interview for B2. I got more or less 20 questions and was never asked for any supporting documents. ? I hope this helps those with F2A who has been waiting all their life for their priority date to be current. Happy New Year guys! ?

Hello Quaint93. I told them I was helping my dad with his business. Since I have a pending F2A, they asked me A LOT of questions. They asked mainly about my husband like 'When did your husband get his green card?', 'Who petitioned him?', 'What is his work?', 'What is he currently doing in the US?' and etc. Other questions were about my pending spousal visa like 'What is your priority date for F2A?', 'When you do think your priority date would be current?', 'Are you going to stay there for long term?'..etc. With all those questions, I just answered him truthfully and never elaborated my answers unless he insisted that I do. No supporting documents were asked. Not even my bank account certificate which didn't have a lot in it nor an employment certificate which I couldn't produce since our business just opened. I hope this helps you Quaint93. =)
