Hi, For the sake of my sanity I just want to confirm that I have all documentation that is required in preparation for the K1 interview (Jan 23,2015 at 740am)

1) 'confirmation' document from the CSC site that summarizes the below
a) appointment information (purpose of travel/ appt date and time/ confirmation number / reschedule deadline date)
b) applicant details (name/passport number/ mrv fee amt/ reference id/ date of birth/ mrv fee receipt#)
c) consular section info ( city and physical address where it is located)
d) loomis info (which branch & its physical address)

2) my passport valid up to 6mths

3) my birth certificate

4) divorce 'certificate' of petitioner/my fiance. I say 'certificate' as what I have is not a 1 page document ( aka certificate) but many pages. This is what was

filed/accepted by the Fresno County Court and I presume is acceptable as it was sent in with the I-129 form.

5)evidence of domicile of petitioner/my fiance such as letter of employment, internet bill/ letter from bank )

6)form I-134 filled in by my fiance (supporting proof again is same as for #5 plus info from his accountant in regards to tax. I have no idea what they all are but form 8879/ 1040/schedule d/ 8949/3903)

*note: form I-864 not sure about this and if I need this. Under Sample Forms, this is for Adjustment of Status which I don't believe I am doing.

7) 2 US passport pics of me in colour

8) closed/sealed package from the board doctor

9)new letter of intent from fiance within 30days of interview date

10) confirmation page after I filled in form DS160

11)proof of ongoing relationship (chats/emails/pics/etc that occurred since form I-129 was submitted)

12) police certificate for me

13)as well as all the information that were previously provided since form I-129

NOT providing adoption / marriage certificate / court & military records as not applicable in my case.

Still deciding on how to get there- train/ plane/ automobile. I have a sister in Ottawa and if she is available , she can drive me however how is the parking?

Any suggestions about where to stay/ which hotel is in walking distance to the Embassy? If you can't bring anything with you except for your documentation, what do you do with your purse etc?

Anyone travelled by train in from Toronto to Montreal?

Thanks for your replies

Valerie

filed/accepted by the Fresno County Court and I presume is acceptable as it was sent in with the I-129 form. - Make sure you have the final divorce decree

5)evidence of domicile of petitioner/my fiance such as letter of employment, internet bill/ letter from bank ) -not necessary.

6)form I-134 filled in by my fiance (supporting proof again is same as for #5 plus info from his accountant in regards to tax. I have no idea what they all are but form 8879/ 1040/schedule d/ 8949/3903) -If possible instead of sending a tax return with you to take, he can download the tax return transcript from the IRS website? It's less paperwork for you.

*note: form I-864 not sure about this and if I need this. Under Sample Forms, this is for Adjustment of Status which I don't believe I am doing. - no you don't need the I-864 yet.

7) 2 US passport pics of me in colour

8) closed/sealed package from the board doctor

9)new letter of intent from fiance within 30days of interview date -make sure to include a letter of intent from YOU as well. ;)

10) confirmation page after I filled in form DS160

11)proof of ongoing relationship (chats/emails/pics/etc that occurred since form I-129 was submitted)

12) police certificate for me

13)as well as all the information that were previously provided since form I-129

Still deciding on how to get there- train/ plane/ automobile. I have a sister in Ottawa and if she is available , she can drive me however how is the parking? -there isn't much. It's downtown Montreal. Your best bet is to take the train or drive and stay overnight close to the consulate. Lots of hotels in the area.

Any suggestions about where to stay/ which hotel is in walking distance to the Embassy? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/90924-hotel-reviews-montreal/

If you can't bring anything with you except for your documentation, what do you do with your purse etc? -leave it at the hotel and check out when you're done OR leave it with an overnight bag at the front desk. Most hotels offer a secure room for this.

Anyone travelled by train in from Toronto to Montreal? -Lots of people do it. It's about a 5.5 hr trip and I've looked it up to be about $39 round trip (or one way.. either way, a lot cheaper than the darn plane!)

Thanks for your replies
