Regarding my Spousal Visa I'd recieved the correspondence from NVC with a barcode and checklist listing the things of which i need to comply among them needing to obtain Police clearances from Thailand and the Philippines, and my question is do i need to wait another 60 days to know the final result? My second question is I'm residing in Thailand working there as a teacher, on a contract, originally i am from the Philippines, and I decided not to extend my contract for another year with the expectation that I'll be getting my interview in May or June, my worry is that my visa will expire April 30.We applied to have the response time expedited so as to expedite the process, but is there an issue with using a tourist visa? if needed? Thanks! I wish i can get an answer...

yes you have to wait the 60 days. It may take less or it may take more.

sorry just noticed the second part. Yes you can visit if you already have a tourist visa but you're at the end of the road so you may want to be careful about plane dates.

Oh if you are not done at the NVC before your expires in Thailand, I suggest having your case changed to the consulate in your home country. They take your passport after the interview, so it's pretty much impossible to travel until you get it back.
