Hello all.

I called the NVC yesterday and was told my case number was assigned on Dec 29,2014. I went on the CEAC website and tried to log in using my case number and iid number and was unable to log in and got this message:Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa center at this time.

Now, I've noticed in similar time lines as mine that one sent to the NVC roughly a month later they are able to fill out the ds261 and pay the AOS. Is there something I'm missing guys? If you ever came across this message how long did it take the NVC to allow you to move forward? By the way, I did provide them with my email.

I got the same message for about three days. Then I was able to do stuff.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

Is now taking them 60 business days to process any documents. When you get the DS-261 and fill it out, you are going to have to wait close to that time to be able to get the fee bills. Try not to make any mistakes because it SUCKS be time and it really screws you up.... Good luck!

I had my AOS invoice within just a couple days of filling out the DS-261. It might have been as little as 24 hours. That was about two weeks ago. Still waiting on the IV invoice, though.

I'm on my phone so I can't paste a link. Search here on VJ for the NVC WIKI. Read it 10 times and when you're done, read it another 10 times. It's the NVC bible. Also follow the NVC January filers thread. Even though you technically didn't file in January, they start a new thread every month because it gets too big. Read the very first post and add yourself to the spreadsheet. You can follow along and keep track of everyone's progress. It was a big help to me.

I meant the IV fee bill. I am sorry if I confuse anybody. I waited a while to get the Visa fee bill.

Aaaaaah, yeah, that makes more sense. Thank you. I'm so hoping I'll get it soon. I'm really hoping to be moved before the summer heat hits Texas.

Lol, and good luck to you... Remember, try not to make any mistakes, you must look at those forms 10 times before sending them. I am sadly paying for making one little mistake. It really messes the whole thing up..

Hi, I'm curious. Why if your case was sent to the nvc in march you paid the fees in July? Please don't tell me it took them that long too enter your data in the system.

No, what happened was that my petitions were approved while a was a permanent resident. They never upgraded my visa category,. So, when the time came for them to start processing my petitions, there were no visas available at the time. That is when my ordeal with NVC started. I sent a copy of my naturalization certificate, and then it took them almost 6 weeks to upgrade my category. After that it was fine, THEN I HIT THE 60 DAYS WALL! Every single document after that took 60 business days to be reviewed.
