I-864 and I-864A

I am petitioning my husband. And my parents are co-sponsoring. Does this mean that I have to fill out I-864 and my parents do one has well or do my parents have to do I-864A? I am really confused. Please help me.

do they need both incomes to be joint sponsors?

if so, then one of them files the i864 as your joint sponsor, and the other files the i864A as their household member

well my parents do their taxes together so..... i and my dad fill out I-864 then my mom and dad together as a household fill out i_865? Do i have to show prove of their income as well such as pay-stubs?

you dont have to be so mean? I have read everything. i just want to make sure i have the right information. i think we are all going through the same struggle here so learn to be nice and patient.

You = I-864

Parent who makes more = I-864

Parent who makes less = I-864a

yes they have to show income, proof of USC/LPR status.

As far as I know you need to fill out I-864 for all the intending immigrants. In your case you would need I-864 from your side. Also I think you only need to file I-864A if you are using someones income that is listed in your tax returns. If you are using your parents income you would most likely need to file a Separate I-864 and I-864A for the other parent listed on the tax return.

You would only need to fill out the I-864 for your parents if you don't meet the income requirement.
