The I134, I don't get it

My fiancé's interview is in a few weeks. I've just sent him the I134 with all the documentation, bank statements, check stubs, tax return, W2, employment letter, etc... The length of the interview is not long. What is the value of this inch thick stack of paper, there is no way the person doing the interview will read it when it is handed to the interviewer during the interview. Or do they look at it later and make some determining decision? It doesn't seem the I134 gets handed over earlier than the interview, is that correct?

I had the same concern when my fiance brought all that support evidence for the interview, and at the end it was not requested! This is from Dominican Rep.

We had to present the documents in a different window before the interview. The lady asked only for the I-134 form, when I said I have the support evidence, she said not now.

Then for the interview, the CO approved us, I asked, again, the support evidence for the I-134, and the CO said it's ok, I'm satisfied.

I understand your question, but it is good to have it on hand in case if they actually need it. I think it would be worse if the CO asks for that evidence and you have none, that can truly delay the process when you are so close to get your fiance's visa issued.

Good luck in your interview!
