Hi ,

I have been recently asked by my company to move to US on L1A asap. My spouse is 2 months pregnant
Does this have any impact on L1 interview and also at the port of entry
Also once I reach US can I take any health/medical insurance to cover her maternity costs. Is it allowed to take maternity coverage in the middle of the pregnancy

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am struggling to find answers.

Many thanks!
Vaibhav

What do you mean by "take insurance" ? Your employer likely will provide one with deductibles/co-pays depending on their plan, if not you will have to pay everything out of your pocket and you probably don't want to do that. You will not be eligible for anything else.

As for the pregnancy - it shouldn't matter, there are no medicals for L-1/L-2.
