Lost my GC - 2 questions about fee waiver and travel

Hello

It seems that I have lost my green card. I will be applying for a new one but I have two questions before hand.

One, I am planning a trip in approximately 6 months. I read that it is possible to obtain a stamp in your passport in case my GC does not arrive in the mail. Is that true? I did not find anything on USCIS website about it, however, I found it on other websites and some posts seem to have mentioned it here.

Also, any current info about processing times? USCIS website seems to be broken, as it is showing "1 July 2014" under processing timeframe for I-90 form...

Number two. Fee waiver. It looks like I qualify for a fee waiver. However, this is 2015 and I do not have a 2014 transcript yet, as of course it's a bit early. Will 2013 transcript be acceptable as proof of income, or since it's 2015 I am out of luck and will have to cough up the $450?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, I was trying to use my best judgment for the section choice.

You file the I-90 and once you have the NOA receipt can make an Infopass appointment at your local office. Take your passport and I-90 receipt and they will be able to give you an I-551 stamp in your passport which will serve as proof of LPR status for all purposes, including work and international travel.

You can apply for a fee waiver of the I-90 by also including an I-912 fee waiver request along with your I-90. It will take ~6 - 12 months to receive your new green card.

Hello, I'm back with another question. I sent my I-90 application to Arizona lockbox. Sent in on 1/12, USPS said should arrive 1/15. Not heard anything yet back, though it hasn't been this long. When can I expect to hear something from them? I just need that NOA to go and get my stamp.

But I'm also curious when would I be called in for fingerprints? I am planning a summer trip Mid-June to mid-August and don't want a situation when I am called in for fingerprints when I'm abroad...

It can take up to a month to receive the receipt NOA from USCIS.

You should receive a biometrics appointment within a month of receiving that first NOA. Biometrics are valid for 15 months, so if you have already had them done within the previous 15 months then it's possible you may not have a second appointment but that they would just re-use the ones already on-file.

I would say dont go travel while you are in processing for gc.... I am rcg... change my status now and all of sudden myfamily issued came up.. so I visited my country with 1 year exextension letter. When I got airport they said u can get into america again. But we need to call c.b.P first to confirm ur case. And c.b.p. said we can see hers case but if she didnt get A i-512? Whatever. Dont let her go out of this country. And I didnt so I applied trantransportation letter to get into america again. When I ggot into america officer told me that why did u bring this letter from c.b.p. if yu have 1 year extension letter there is nothing problem with it .... and I had no NO idea of it.. so.traveling... u can do it later too. Dont go hard way. Just wait until u get greecard then go outside.

That sounds more like an issue with your airline being poorly informed than anything else.

The OP is an LPR. With the proper proof of it they can travel internationally without issue.

I would imagine a week or two is broadly correct, since a separate division has to decide whether to accept your fee waiver request and proceed with the application, or deny the fee waiver and return everything to you.
