Thank you for all your comments... at first, I searched online what to do but answers are different... Some said its ok as long bar code is intact, others advise to go to Philippines since they will accept it and then replace it while i am there. I posted my concern here because i want to talk to those people that had experienced this kind of concern before. And i am really thankful for those that commented on my post.. Now i learned that it is not worth to take a risk.. that i really have to replace it now... thanks guys.. i do appreciate it... God bless you all.....

you said,,, you are planning to visit the Philippines;? hey friend, if you are at the moment in other country, i suggest you go to the Philippines embassy ask what can be done for that eaten passport;) but id seen the passport pic as long as the passport still complete, visible and readAble the only thing i know they gonna make u another one but im half sure if the passport still the same they gonna use same number;)! you cant fly with that kind of passport,, go to the philippine embassy im sure they know best,, then you can fly later, any alteration on the passport is questionable so to avoid hassle on airport u enter the best is go phil embassy there near you,, looktheir site, email or call ask;)!

Thank you for your comment... Me and my husband went there last Monday and they told me that i need to renew my passsport. they can also give me a travel permit (1 way) going to the Philippines as long as my connecting flight will not be in China or Japan. And when i am in the Philippines I can renew my passport there and get it after 1-2 weeks... and use it to come back here in US.

Update: received greencard already. But haven't renewed my passp0rt yet. But There's an emergency and we need to go t0 the Philippines because my papa needs operati0n 0n his eyes. We learned that we have t0 get travel d0cument fr0m the Philippine Embassy for my damage passp0st. We already have itinerary going to the Ph. Our c0nnecting flight is in Korea. Im just worried if the travel d0cument will be valid in k0rea. Because we read somewhere that it will n0t be valid in Japan and China. What do y0u think everyone? Pls share your idea regarding this. Thank u.
