Looking at getting our K1 filed soon, just wondering about the blank spaces. For example, my fiance doesn't have children, prior spouses, other names, ect...

What would you suggest I do with these spaces? Leave them blank or fill them in with 'n.a.'? Just want to fill this all out correctly so it isn't denied or something. Thank you all. :)

Thanks. That's what I though but I didn't want to take any second chances.

It's definitely worth reading the i-129f instructions PDF on the USCIS website as it outlines issues like this one. So on the i129f form, you leave it blank, but under the spouse section of the G235a it says "if none so state" so be sure not to get tripped up by that!

(It's a shame that there isn't one policy for every section of every form! Causes a lot of RFEs)

Good luck! :)

I put none and n/a on all forms. Then I read in one of the RFE's thread that some people got RFE's cause they put N/A instead of not applicable or left blank spaces. I got worried that I will get a RFE as well but fortunately I was approved without getting it. I think it all depends on a case worker that your application will get assign to. Best of luck!!

Dont leave nothing in blank, you get rfe because they think that you forget answer, so write n/a or not aplicable, in that way tgey know that you red the wuestion.

This is incorrect.

In the i-129f filing instructions pdf it clearly states "If an item is not applicable or the answer is "none", leave the space blank"

The filing instructions can be found here: http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f

There is one section of the G325a where this is not the case. This is the "previous spouse" section, where it clearly states to write "none" if you have had no previous spouses.
