So unfair... i wish there was a way for mine to be sent to Vermont. lol

Seriously! LOL I am thinking I live in New York why couldn't they send my petition there! And it has really got me wondering how they decide where to send it. Maybe you go to VSC if you list your address as international?

Yay!! Go yaadie! I'm happy for you. Vermont is working super fast. Why don't they share the workload more evenly so most people can enjoy the same or similar timelines/approvals. I'm at Nebraska and I heard, even from lawyers that they're the slowest office

I think it's important to remember that processing times fluctuate. In regards to USCIS processing times in Vermont and California, the H-1B cap opens April 1 and ALL of those cases go to those two processing centers, which means they'll be getting tens if not hundreds of thousands of petitions that more than likely will have priority over family cases. Anyone applying for an H-1B through the cap can start working Oct 1 so the processing centers need to get those done quickly.

On top that there's still NVC. I read on an approval notice for another visa that family cases are based on the availability of visa numbers. Some processing centers just process even though there are no visa numbers meaning that people can be waiting at NVC longer. Other processing centers (maybe those than seem slower) wait until they know there are visa numbers available before processing petitions so NVC potentially goes quicker. Not sure how true that is in practice, but that's what USCIS says.

I'm the petitioner.

Thanks J-zealous....IDK how they determine where they send petitions but I'm happy I ended up at Vermont. My moms petition last year was sent there too and they are pretty quick. Good luck with your case.

Hi guys, i just read that with i130 we were meant to send in the NSO copy of marriage certificate, is that correct? I sent in an official stamped copy.

You were only to send copy of documents with your I130.

my husband in the US just called the NVC office as we were waiting for the case number to be assigned after NOA2 arrived on Jan 14th 2015. the lady that took the call was really nice he said. She actually said that ours was processed yesterday and letter is in the post so we should receive the letter soon and she was kind enough to give us the receipt number and the case number as well!!

excited. As we can now move on to the next stage of Agent allocation, pay fees and putting all the docs together.

Had a quick question about the medical. Are the vaccination requirement based on age. so you don't need to get all of those vaccinations as on one of the approved medical docs in toronto he had US immigration requirements based on age and it was

Tdap

MMR

Varicella (chickenpox)

Flu Shot

can anyone please confirm? As Im a dual national brit and canadian but I moved to canada so I was closer to my husband and my doc back in the UK cannot find my immunisation records. So I got a Titer test done for the above vaccinations and I've started an adult dose of Tdap here in canada.

Just wondering if I should play it safe and just get all the vaccines that they stated?

any advice? thanks in advance.

Congrats on making it to the next stage!

There might be another thread that can be more helpful but I'd say to push your old doc to keep looking and redo whichever vaccines you can.

I have seen USCIS give out RFE's for adults missing childhood vaccines, like tdap, on employment-based green card petitions. It might be a little different because that's USCIS, but I think it's better to play it safe so you don't have to worry about what could happen.

For some reason I thought that the flu vaccine requirement was only during certain times of the year (probably flu season), but maybe someone else can confirm that.

I'm the petitioner.
