Did any of you in Canada have to Authenticate (send it to Ottawa Foreign Affairs) your Police Certificate to bring to the interview ?

Mine is from the RCMP and I sent it to Ottawa but they told me that I had to have it Notarized first!? Weird since the Government can confirm with the RCMP directly.

Hi,

Can someone please help me out with these dumb questions.

1. I just logged in on the nvc website for the first time with the case/IIN number and on the Webpage is the instruction for the AOS Fee. Under the AOS Fee is my Husband's name, the amount ($120) and a select check box. Am i suppose to check the box to make the necessary payment?

2. I live in Canada, is it okay for me to make the payment with my Canadian card? My Husband is super busy/struggling with his final year in med. school so i really do want to handle things myself to avoid him being distracted from his future career. Well, not that he won't be helping but things like this, I'm sure i can handle it myself.

Hi I had the same questions. Check the box and pay it. I was wondering the same thing but since you have to fill out payment info do it with an US Card. If he is too busy you can pay it using his card. I didn't want to mess with CDN cards. All of my fees were paid with US card.

Yes, of course! You can even send your package before paying IV fee and submitting DS-260. Don't forget to include all the bar codes given for both AOS and IV (since you already paid IV fee). :)
