friends,since wife send our application on 2rd of jan,we have not gotten any reply from USIC confirming application receive.we bought money order and use post office with priority mail delivery .what can i do ?

Depending on where you got the money order you may be able to check whether it was cashed or not. If it was a post office one you can submit a claim to see if it was lost or stollen somewhere along the way.

No, NBC is the slowest and then Nebraska, at least according to timelines here.

We sent our package January 23rd, NOA1 January 26th at Nebraska service cencenter.

Took about 2 weeks for ours to recognise the receipt number. Doesn't really tell you anything interesting anyway, other than that they've received the petition.

I recently started working at an immigration firm and was told that it's normal for it to take 30 days or more for something to show up, so I'd wait a little longer. But, like CJKylie said, it doesn't say much. Ultimately it wont tell you much more than that your case was received and eventually whether it's approved or not. Basically the emails/texts and your mailed NOAs will tell you same thing. What I've gathered is that it's mean more for other types of visas, like H-1Bs, that have different processing levels.
