Hi

I filled I-130 for my husband in January 2015. My priority date is Jan 21, 2015 with the Texas service center.

Anyone else in that time zone?

I wanted to start a thread so we can keep each other updated. It's a relief to get some sort of update from others.

The current processing time on USCIS webpage is 5 months, it says less than 5 months. It's been over 5 months now and I haven't received my approval letter or any update. Anyone else have better luck?

I am getting really anxious as to why its taking so long. Any help/update is greatly appreciated. Any idea as to how fast the files move or anything.

If anyone has earlier priority date than mine, I would really appreciate feedback as to how long it took or when the approval letter came through.Any information in general

Thank You.

Hello all.

I understand this is a group for IR-1 filers but i've been following it especially those with their I-130's that were filed in California. I am processing for my parents which will be IR-5 visa. USCIS approved the case around the same time as everyone on this group who's processing center was California. I am trying to figure out how to check if NVC received their case and what their case number is. Does anyone know which number I should call? The number provided on their website keeps saying "high volume of callers and then it disconnects." I know most of you have receive your case numbers and even paid the fee already. How can I go about this please.

I see someone also posted that on USCIS website it shows the NVC package being sent or being received. My parent's status hasn't changed on USCIS since it got approved.

I-130 application mailed: 05.01.15

NOA1 received: 05.04.15

NOA2 approved: 06.03.15

NVC received petition: 06.08.15

Received case # and invoice #: 07.08.15

AOS fee & IV fee paid: 07.14.15

Application & all docs submitted to NVC: 08.25.15

Scan date: 08.26.15

CC: 09.16.15 (3 N/A's online; also confirmed with NVC)

Did you receive the NOA2 in the mail? Have you checked your online case status in USCIS- it is normally updated with the date your petition was shipped to the NVC. From the shipment date it takes about a week to arrive at the NVC and another two weeks after that to get a NVC case #.

Did you call USCIS to see if your case has been shipped to the NVC?

I did just now and spoke to a very elderly lady. She tried to explain to me that the case is still within the 5 month processing time to call back after the 5 months are over. I tried to explain it to her that the case was already approved I was just checking to see if it was sent to NVC yet and she kept repeating the same script. So frustrating! I just read somewhere that they are not updating all statuses. I've been calling NVC all week and that automated message of high call volume just keeps coming on. :(

Call again - maybe speaking to a different person at the USCIS will be of help.

About the NVC, it is always busy. I just got off the phone with them, took me about 10 calls to get in. Keep trying
