We are just in the first stage. Hubby, being the U.S. citizen living in Alabama, first mailed the I-130 with his check last year to the Chicago lockbox but after 4 months of not hearing nor receiving anything from the USCIS, he cancelled the check. We tried again last Jan. 10, using USPS 2-day priority mail but this time to the USCIS Dearborn address. After 10 days ( yeah, USPS sucks), Jan. 20, he had a signature confirmation that somebody from that USCIS address received our package. By Jan. 23, hubby received the USCIS acceptance confirmation in his email, stating that our case ( Receipt Number also given) has been routed to the Nebraska Service Center, and we have to wait 7-10 days to receive our official Receipt Notice ( Form-I-797/ NOA1 ) through standard mail. By Jan. 27, hubby's check has been cashed. Hopefully, hubby will have the NOA1 in his mail box by next week! It is very good to know that my husband and I are not alone in this long and difficult journey!

friends, since wife send our application on 2rd of jan,we have not gotten any reply from USIC confirming application receive.we bought money order and use post office with priority mail delivery .what can i do ?

@dady12, to which address did your wife send the application? And you can always use the USPS tracking service to know exactly where your I-130 package is at the moment.

@palanga,the address which was on the form is exactly where we send the forms directly to.is there any code of tracking them because we use post office with priority post

If I were her I'd go to the post office and ask, if she remembers when she originally went they may look it up for her, make sure she brings identification. The worst they can say is no, so no harm asking.

@dady12, one month is too long without hearing anything from USCIS. I agree with PaddyGirl13, ask your wife to go back to the post office where she sent the package and inquire about the receipt number, just tell her not to forget her ID for verification purposes, maybe they still have the records. Once she gets the receipt number, she can track it on the USPS website.
