January 2015 I-130 filers!

Expect 5-6 months of dead silence... calling USCIS may be pointless, but, at least you can reach a human relatively easy. At the second step (NVC), you have to redial 20-40 times then you wait on hold 50mins only to hear the same story (at least 42 days, at least 60 days, etc)

GOOD LUCK to us all. I'm still waiting since 12/11 to get a case number assigned to begin the process @ NVC. :ranting:

I wonder why they don't assign the petitions according to the workload on each service center. One would think that they would leverage resources better by doing that, and at the same time benefit us with lower processing times. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait.

:pop: I'll just sit down and watch a movie (prob. more). Maybe when that is over this will all go faster for us.

Sent ours to Chicago on the 14th,received on the 15th,now to wait for the NOA1 and the even longer (hopefully RFE free) wait for NOA2.

Got the dreaded email/text. Application received and routed to Texas Service Center. :wacko:

Sent mine on Jan. 13. Arrived at the Chicago lockbox the next day and was picked up that same afternoon. Hoping to get that NOA1 soon :clock:

Hey. We have the same timeline. :)

I sent in the application for my wife on january 5th and received the application receipt notice with priority date and application number yesterday. Hoping for the best.

Sent our i130 to Phoenix on the 8th, received on the 9th, and NOA1 date was the 13th :)

my wife send my her application kn 2nd and until now there is no email message or text message,what is your suggestion friends?

Is there any way youre able to know of your check has been cashed? They say it can take up to 30 days after its been cashed to send you an email/text
