Hi :)

Realistically you should expect NOA2 any day now. Check the website maybe they already sent it to you.

We got NOA1 from Vermont on January 23 and our case has been in NVC for a week already.

That's awesome lisbethk.

A quick question.. How does one find out the case has gone to NVC? I have not received the NOA2 in the mail yet, so I don't know it's wording. Did you have to call NVC or they notify you automatically when the case arrives there.

Anyone can reply. :)

Thanks!

You should get NOA2 from USCIS in the mail where they say that your I-130 was approved and will be sent to NVC. I guess they change status of the case on their website as well but as I wasn't expecting anything until June I wasn't even checking that.

After we got that I waited for two weeks, called NVC (waited on the phone for half an hour)) and they told me that they got our case but have not assigned a number yet so I should call in 2-4 days. Did that, got case number and IIN. Still nothing from NVC in the mail or e-mail so I'm not sure when they actually send out information that they receive your case. They maybe waiting 30 days they have to notify people but I didn't want to wait that long. :)

We sent out I-130 on January 18, it went to Nebraksa (boo) , received text saying it was received and we would receive a hard copy in the mail, which we did on January 27th, received NOA1. and we have heard nothing since then. I check the website a couple times a week and nothing. I phoned the Customer Service to ask why it wasn't sent to California vs Nebraska, and, all they would tell me was that our petition was being "processed" :S

Every times I go to the website, I hold my breath, just hoping that something more is going to show up on it and nothing has changed since January 27th. Once again, boooooooooooo!! :S I'm patient with some things, just not patient with being reunited with my husband. These trips back and forth to California are expensive....

Thank you! Well, I really hope that we get our NOA 2 asap. Why do some ppl get their NOA 2 faster than others? Starting to get impatient lol. Doesn't help so I just have to wait.

Every case is unique and adjudicated on it's own merit. Some are married longer, kids, etc, while in other cases people spend more or less time with each other and thus less\more set of proofs that accompany each application. So, USCIS officers have to make an independent decision on each case based on the quality and quantity of supporting evidence submitted.

Wishing you an approval and NOA2 soon. Patience is indeed a virtue here. :)

I know exactly how you feel, we're also January fillers and stuck in Nebraska woooohooo

I'm usually very impatient so it wasn't a big surprise we got Nebraska.... I guess life is trying to teach us a lesson (or just me)

Don't worry...it will be our turn sooner or later...by then we just have to stay busy and prepare ourselves for the D day ;)(F)
