They told it takes up to 4 weeks to get it in the system so check in a month

Watching a movie with my wife through video chat, heard my phone ring (email)... USCIS approved my I-130! I still can't believe it.

NOTE: I called the USCIS today at 5:20pm to inquire about my case as my 5 month mark was on Sunday and they would not be working my case over the weekend. I was very polite even though I got the same canned response from the agent on the phone... "You need to wait until Monday to call back". I think she even felt sorry for me - I was frustrated after hearing about the possible service request (15-30 more days after the deadline). Could not get an update on the processing status/date for TSC but it appears they are not behind, just running close to the 5 month deadline.

I really hope that all of you that are still waiting get your approvals soon so we can all share the joy of completing this step. It is though, but hang in there - good luck!

My PD is January 7 NSC. Uptill last Friday case was not approved per the website. I am working out of town for the week and don't have the case number with me

Hopefully good news after I return tomorrow..

Hopefully, they will remember us. I'm already falling sick cos of this.

Hello all,

I am at NSC with priority date January 7, 2015 and haven't been approved yet.

I called the USCIS customer support today and asked them the reason for the delay because the case is outside of the processing timeframe.

The representative put me on hold and later informed me that it looks like the case is outside normal processing time per his initial check.

He tried to open an inquiry but the system informed him that the NSC is still processing December 16, 2014 cases and my case is still within processing timeframe. This is stupid because I have seen so many January NSC filers getting approved.

I am so disappointed.

Does anybody have tips on who to call and what to say in order to make them process the case faster?

Any help will be appreciated.

you are very lucky for me they have sent a inqury reply by regular mail so we r waiting for that mail to see why our case is getting delay.

So in week and half they went from November 16 to December 16. Looks like in another week and half, we both may be approved if we look at the pattern here.

I simply do not understand their process. I do not see a point in assigning priority dates when they are going to randomly process the cases

Is there anybody else here from NSC with PD in January still waiting for approval?

The processing times USCIS uses are routinely behind, in the past week and a half they probably updated their reporting date up a month (as they seem to only change the processing date once monthly)
