Happy new year to all vj members...

My parents decided, there not going to live here in the US and went home after only 6 months of staying here. Is it possible to switch their immigrant visa to tourist visa?

No there's no switching. But when they want to Visit they would apply for a Visitor Visa at the embassy.

A tourist visa is almost impossible to get in the Philippines, but it will help that they actually came back to the Philippines.

I would expect they would not have too much trouble getting visitor visas.

There is no process to directly hand in your green cards and they hand back a visitors visa but having returned a green card because you have decided that living in the US isn't for you is a proof of intent not to use a visitors visa to overstay in the US.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
