It is true generally. However it also depends on the case itself, if it is complicated-it will take more time to process. Even official CSC timeline states 5 months and TSC is 6. I know guys with timeline identical to mine that are already approved whereas we are still waiting for CSC approval.

Ksenia1985, Do you think your case is complicated? Are one of you divorcerd?

I always wondered why some cases in CSC get done so fast and some are longer. Wasn't sure if cases are just set on a desk and the person you got is just a slow processor or something.

I think it is complicated in a way. I am divorced and currently am in US on a tourist visa, which I am guessing they would want me out before approving and also my fiance had a couple of DUIs back in the day. And I do think it takes longer to process our case as opposed to two people that had never been married with no children and no criminal records whatsoever, because each fact stated needs to be checked. On the bright side we have been dating for 3 years and have seen each other many times and for months at a time, besides we originally met back in 2002 in high school that we both attended, so I think they won't doubt our relationships being genuine.

I worry about ours being a little longer cause of my divorce but Im the USC. Luckily he doesn't have a criminal record in the UK and no previous marriage.

I did notice people with your exact timeline get there NAO2 already and I feel for you. It also makes me worried about mine. My Fiancé and I said goodbye 2 1/2 weeks ago not knowing when we will see each other again because we cant afford flying to each other. We spent every moment together for 3 months while he was here in the US. We were lucky cause he didn't work while here and I was only in school part time. I just hope it goes fast for all of us. This is by far the hardest emotional thing Ive endured. It will only make us stronger though.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. If you sent in everything they wanted according to the list you will be approved fast. UK is a not a high risk country for marriage fraud, not to mention you speak the same language. At this point they are mainly checking true intentions and the petitioner.

As for us- we did 7 months apart waiting to see each other again 3 times during last 3 years, I know it is hard, but I also know we can do it and we are confident about our relationships. I am hoping for the best, but also prepared for the worst, meaning if it has to be 5 months - ok, if we are approved earlier-I will be extremely happy.

I am so excited for you guys, you are in CSC and I honestly don't think there is a reason for your case to be stuck there.

WOW!!! 7 months 3 times.... Congrats to you guys for hanging in there. Anything worth having is worth waiting for, I just hope my sanity doesn't go anywhere. LOL Well thanks for making me feel better today. I hope for the best for you two. Im sure it will be faster then you think, although I should take a lesson in your thought process on expecting the worst. You have to be strong in this process for sure.
