Thank you so much for all your help!!! Fiancé and I are stressed with still being full time students so it's hard to find time to sit down and work on our process, but I guess it will all come together in time!

You're welcome! We are all here to help and support each other through the process.

I am curious if any of the other January NOA2 Approvals have made it to the NVC yet?

I am planning to call the NVC on Monday just to check and see if they have received it yet.

My petition was approved on 20 January and is already in transit to embassy.

You should have sent the proof. Please read the guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide Everything is explained there step by step. Did you send just filled petition or the check for $340 as well? If you have those two they will send you RFE for missing documents, if you have just the petition sent you will have it returned to you for refilling.

Did we need to send pictures and such in with the initial I-129?!?! In reading the directions, I read it only as the only proof of meeting they want at this point are passport stamps and boarding passes and an individual passport style photo of each of you with your biological profile questionnaire and then all of the other things (photos - however a limit of 5 it said - text/e-mail/phone records, any marriage plans, proof of relationship, etc.) was to be submitted upon request at the interview??? Did I read that completely wrong?

Yes, pictures among all other proof are to be sent along with your petition. Please read the guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide If you click at Proof of having met in past two years - it will list what proof they want.

But according to the most recent directions on the USCIS website, updated October 1024, they state they want dated proof of your evidence, it says nothing about pictures or communication records, etc. http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

These are general instructions. Check this link out http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Resources%20for%20Congress/Congressional%20Reports/2011%20National%20Immigration%20%26%20Consular%20Conference%20Presentations/I-129F-Petition_for_Alien_Fiance%28e%29.pdf

I also saw info about pics it somewhere else on their site, but just have no time at the moment to search for it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the logic is - you might have been in the country, but not necessarily met the person, hence the pictures together.

1 month down (waiting at TSC) I wonder how many more to go?!

This isn't a question to be answered. Rhetorical in nature.

Good luck and chin up to my fellow TSC warriors :)

I am hoping for less than 6 months additional wait - I have already done 1 month and 1 week and 4 days of TSC jail time.

We have similar-ish filing dates so I'm hoping that when I see your approval mine won't be too far behind. I feel like it's a battle too. A battle of patience and ability to not get severely annoyed by CSC fast approvals.

Let's keep warring on :D

Here's a thread approved without pictures http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/531454-approved-without-pictures/
If you have enough primary evidence then there are cases that are approved with no pics, but I would still recommend all future filers to not forget it.

Hello!!
So in early January, 2015 I filed the I-129F with all the required supporting documents, letters on intent to marry, copies of divorce decrees, and proof of ongoing relationship, etc.
The I-129F was received January 13, 2015 and I received a form I-797C, Notice of Action form dated January 15, 2015, confirming receipt of the application. The Receipt number begins with "SRC".
Please confirm: The "SRC" means my application will remain in the Texas Service Center and my fiancé and I are looking at a fairly long wait. Well, patience is a virtue.
My question is this: For purposes of planning, what will the length of the wait be? In other words: How long are we looking at before the interview at the US Embassy in Tokyo?
Thanks.

i-751 Received 1/9/19

Just to clarify, it will not remain at the Texas Service Centre, it will be sent to Texas. The lockbox in Dallas routes petitions to either California or Texas based on the petitioners state of residence. As for wait time, currently TSC seems to be processing late July petitions. You're looking at an average of 6-8 months for approval and possibly another 3 months until interview after that. If all goes smoothly and TSC doesn't get any slower. Prepare to wait...good luck.
