Hi all!

I'm new also but I received by text NOA-1 on January 29 but no hard copy yet - does it essentially just say the same thing? The online tracker with the case number was finally updated yesterday 2/4, however it just tells me that they "sent a note that will tell me how the case will be processed." Is this just the standard statement while waiting for NOA-2? We also got transferred to CSC. Thanks everyone and good luck!!!

Yes it pretty much just says the same thing, when they received your petition and that they routed your case to CSC for processing.

Change your timeline so it is from CSC and not transferred and that will give you a more accurate timeline at the bottom with the dates of when to expect approval. Plus is helps everyone else that was actually transferred. Even though all petitions get sent to Texas thats not considered a transfer FYI. Transfers seem to be pretty rare. :)

Does the NOA-1 the first step in getting approved? Can I call a number to see if they received my papers?

The NOA-1 is the receipt of your papers. It will explain more when you get it in the mail and it will have your receipt number on it.

Do you have a tracking number for your package? You can use it to verify it has been delivered, if you signed up for text and e-mail notifications you will receive a text for sure, but you can try to call if you want. I wouldn't worry too much.

Receiving NOA-1 is definately the first step, yes. After it just the wait.

Gosh it must be so nice to get California as the service center. I see some timelines where people wait 9-10 months just for a NOA2. :(

Hello Guys, I have a Question about USPS mailing service, which i don't understand to be honest. Can anybody please help me to understand?

Well , the Question is That we have sent out our petition on 31st Jan 2015 through USPS priority mail and today USPS have updated the status as " Your item arrived at the Dallas , TX 75266 post office and it is ready for pick up " , Do we need to call USCIS to pick up our package or they have already been informed ?

Thank you

The USCIS has couriers who mass pick up all of their packages. So it's at the post office now waiting for the couriers to pick them up. They probably wont pick it up until Tuesday since Monday is a holiday.

The holiday is the 16th. They should pick up the mail Monday. But it may take a day or two to send you an update on that. It took couple days before i got the email confirmation.
