Having a hard time getting Interview date (February 2015)

Happy new year everyone!

My fiance and I want to have the interview scheduled for first week of February. I've been monitoring since last month and noticed that the February slots are not available. It's now January and there's still none. Is this common? I'm just worried because he's flying in next month and want to have an interview date by then.

Also...do I need to have a confirmed interview date before going through the K1 Medical Exam? I read through guides that this is a requirement.

Thanking you all for any advice I could get :)

The USEM will most likely start opening February the first week of January or so. It's fairly common that the next month opens within the first week or two of the previous month.

We did medical with no USEM interview appointment. We used our NVC letter with MNL number as well as all the other document requirements at the SLEC website.

Just be patient, February will open up soon. Still lots of January dates. ;)

If you have your NVC letter/email you can get the medical done with just that.

Thank you for the replies, luckytwo15 and Hank_! :)

Just a quick clarification though: I didn't get any NVC letter. I only have Packet 3 from the US Embassy and it has our case number noted there. Will that be ok to bring instead of the NVC letter?

The NVC letter is mailed within the US directly to the petitioner. Is there a chance he has received the letter? I emailed a scanned copy of our NVC letter to my fiancée in the PI. She printed a couple copies of the letter and she used that letter for entry to the medical exam.

You actually got the packet in the mail from USEM??????!!!! Wow!! You are one of the few, the proud... the... lucky. Most never receive that letter.

Bring that letter, it has you case number on it, see what SLEC says, after all what the keep saying is they want a document with your case number on it.

NVC letter is mailed to the USC, your fiance only needs to scan it and email it to you.

Yes the deposit slip has an expiration date printed on it. Simply print out a deposit slip just before you go to BPI (don't forget your passport)

Hi Hank :) sorry for the late reply..thanks for the info..

I tried doing a deposit slip preview, the expiration date is Jan. 31, 2015.. What if i got a late interview schedule? say Feb. 27, 2015 for example (coz i heard Feb. schedule is almost full)... does my payment will get expired?

The date on the deposit slip is only for the bank deposit, you need to get to the bank before the expire date. Once you have made the deposit you can go to the web site and make the appointment or wait till the appointment you want opens up

Date on the deposit slip is ONLY for making the visa payment to BPI, your paid visa fee itself is good for one year. Keep the receipt that you get from BPI safe, it will be needed interview day.
