I got RFE with explanations how to proof non-criminal background. I went to Police Department and ordered Certificate of Conduct. They checked me by SSN and by finger prints again. It took 10 business days to get this certificate. And additional 40 days to get my green card after i replied on RFE.

I think what happend was..

I got a response for my first service request on Oct 20th that i will receive an NOA in 45 days.

I submitted another request on Oct 28.

The officer responded to the second service request and waited for the very last day the response was due (since he wanted to wait as my 45 day period was not over) and he had no option to send a pre-defined reaponse of processing hold due to security check pending.

So, in order to daty positive, i think this response is not necessarily negative.

So I called USCIS today, and they said the status is "in progress" now, last week when I called it was "pending", idk if that means anything or it's just something that the operator said. I will wait till next week and see whats going on

I really think this is getting out of hand with the USCIS guys. I did submit a service request on November 4 and was told i would hear back within two weeks. After not hearing back within the two weeks from them, i called and was told the case had been assigned (and i could see that online that the case had been assigned) and to wait for a decision any time within the next 30 days. I checked my case status online today and realized the case inquiry i had made was not showing up so i called them to see what was going on and was told by the officer that the case has not been assigned contrary to what another officer had told me earlier. The officer i spoke to today told me to wait till after December 4 to inquire about my case if i don't hear back from them before then.

WEIRD!

EVH5150.... i am also still waiting. Have completely given up.

After a couple of service requests, they have said that my case is pending security checks and is proceeding completely normally. My next step is either a congressional inquiry or ombudsman inquiry. Not sure if any of those are of any use since the response will only be - pending security checks.

At this point, i have nothing to do more than wait and let things take their own course. I was not planning to apply for the N 400 but now i will if needed to force the i751 adjudication.

Have you opened a service request? if not, go and open a service request immediately. You will get a response in the mail within 15 days and it will tell you where exactly your case is. Having to write a written request is bullshit.

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do;jsessionid=abcUxPcnc6uwFfURyzqfv?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt

If i were to speculate, there must be a batch of cases stuck for pending security checks. If possible, make an info pass appointment and see what they say.

This is beyond ridiculous

I am waiting too, I called USCIS yesterday and they transferred me to higher officer, he said the case is in process which means they received my RFE documents.

He also said he will contact the officer taking care of my case and I should receive an answer within 2 weeks.

I guess I will be filing for N400 too.

Which basically means he opened another service request. Probably the same officer that did my second service request.

Exact same words he had told me. " i will send anmessage to the respective officer handling your case". This particular guy is very service request happy

I am sorry, new on this website. .I have a question concerning my Case..I filed out i751 since 24 December at California service..I have received immediately an extension letter for one year of my Green cards..

It tooks them 6 mois before to get my biometric done..I did my biometric figerprints 6 months after extension letter..So now, i am still not getting any response from them and i decided to call uscis office to know what's going on with my status..Officer told me that my status pending briefly.

After 2 weeks of this call, they send me a letter that my case have been placed on processing hold because of the required security checks remain pending..they require the results of security checks before make a decision on any pending case..I don't know if somebody is going through same thing..If I have to worry about a situation or if there is a possibility interview..Any kind advice will be appreciate..thanks you guys
