Sorry - been out of the country and was not checking the forum. No updates. But at this tradition of RFE, I wouldn't be surprised, but my package was very comprehensive though. Sammyboy and israelidude - everything will be okay. No worries. You have at least another 6 months, (or 3 months) to apply for your citizenship and get it over with. But I understand your frustration. I am frustrated too as I cannot use the electronic declaration form at the airport and have to resort to the old school paper form.

A couple of folks got approvals today. So things are still loving. The good thing is no RFE so far.

There were a few cases reported in this forum where the applicant never received the RFE notice. They waited and waited until the application was eventually declined because they did not respond to the RFE.

Paul... had you called the customer service number to find out or was it someone else?

Call customer service...... once the automated system is done, press the option to talk to a customer service rep about a problem with your case........that rep will read your status verbatim as it appears online........... then ask him to transfer you to someone who can give you more information about your case......... they will transfer you to an imigration officer. That officer will probably tell you that your case is within normal processing time and that you have an extension of 1 year. If any RFE has been issued, he will let you know.

Make sure you dont ask him specifically that, "DID I GET AN RFE"?

They might respond with an RFE.... LOL.

Yeah, I did call them.

I did talk to someone higher up, who told me that my case is within the normal processing time (< 2 years: 12 months to 24 months).

I did not ask for RFE and they did not say something about RFE. But I am worried that that if even there was RFE, they would not say so unless I specifically ask for it.
