First, I tried it online: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

However, I couldn't figure out if I were the primary taxpayer or my wife and I entered too many wrong info. The website then told me to call some number, which was much easier than the online version.

I think the phone number was: 1-800-908-9946, also shown in their FAQ (http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript-FAQs).

Paul. i am in the same boat as you and preparing documents for potential RFE.

I had called last week after i got that text from the 540 number. I was transferred to an Immigration Officer. He said my case is within normal processing time of one year. If that text was for an RFE, i believe he would have known and told me that. What do you think?

I also just called the number that was shown in the transfer notice. It said that my file was received at St. Albans, Vermont office on 8/17, my transfer date. My transfer notice says CSC.

I don't know what to expect from USCIS. According to their website, my case should have been processed already (NOA on 1/2). I certainly hope for an approval but "hope for the best, plan for the worst".

Paul, if you call the USCIS and after they have spoken the automated status, you can choose the option where it says, talk to a rep about a problem with your case, then a person comes online. He will also say the same thing. Then you demand to speak with someone who can give you more information and they will transfer you to an officer who will give you more information if any action has been taken.

Like everyone else we are still waiting. After receiving the initial letter that the case was being transferred, nothing else. I choose to think that no news is good news, good luck everyone!

Its same with me...Website Says transferred to Local Officei.e. Atlanta Office, Letter received from USCIS says transferred to CSC....When called they said it is still within time limit..I dont know what to say.

Maybe what happened was that jan filers were processed in the first 15 days of the month,

Remaining jan filers will be processed the first 15 days of next month
