Hey guys, I have obviously applied to Vermont for my application and I recently called numerous times and sent a letter via US mail to change my address, I received a letter at my new/current address saying that on this particular date I contacted them about my case to change address, the status of this request is.

After careful review it has been determined your issues will be best addressed by USCIS office having jurisdiction over your case. Therefore we have forwarded your request to California Service Center. If you require assistance visit website or call customer service etc.

What does this mean? That my case is now being reviewed in California? Why? Will my case be seen quicker now? Surely if there was an issue with changing my address they wouldn't of sent THIS letter to my current address?

I'm a bit confused!

They probably have transferred your case and didn't notify you or you didn't receive the letter. I suggest you just change your address from the online system rather than mail or phone calls. Also, be extremely happy if your case is really in CSC, they are fast, efficient and if your case is there you will have your case reviewed within a month most like. I wish they can transfer my paperwork there.

But once again change your address through the USCIS website.

So happy VeeNDee was approved - that was the first CA Service Centre approval with a biometrics date equal to or later than mine. Woot Woot! Mine should be close. I can't find my darn appointment letter so can't check online, but I'll know once it arrives. Let's hope JESSIERC will update shortly with equally good news!

We are off to Ireland for a wedding in September, and it would be nice to go with the new GC and not have to get an extra stamp in my passport.

My first attempt at changing my address months ago was via the website, but the site wouldnt allow me so after speaking with USCIS advisers on the phone they did it for me but still needed me to send in an actual change of address form!

At least you have some progress. You might want to send the change of address form to VSC and CSC, since you are not sure at which location your paperwork is. Let's say you really got transferred and just didn't receive a notice it will take VSC probably a month to process your address form, meanwhile CSC will probably be on your case, based on the fact they are working Jan and starting Feb.

When did you call and they told you july?

Where did you seen Jan filers from vermont getting approived?

No idea how this is happening. I am a Nov filers and we have not really moved at all since 3-4 people got approved. It is possible the application was transferred if the person moved or it was on a family petition a child or the mother. It is totally NOT ok to still have Nov filers waiting, December not even started and to have somebody that filed more than 2 months after all these people waiting be approved, not cool at all. I hope there is a good explanation.
