It looks like they plan to open tomorrow at least for a few hours. Found the following at NVC website.

Lucky you, you haven't been in this process forever but the 60 days still feels like an eternity! This is nothing compared to the wait at USCIS and most of us at NVC you were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo lucky.

Our date is Dec 8th so it should be any time now. I'll keep you and your husband in our prayers, Cairo is a tough one but we'll all make it through. Your husband will be here to welcome Spring with you.

Hello Hello Hello.

Another busy day of prep work, closing accounts, finding random coins under couches, cleaning and taking care of the kiddies. Whew, packing up your life in 2 months with 2 little ones in tow really is crazy!

We've got just 2 months and 1 week to go before we cross our fingers and hope for the best over in the US. Staying in a Townhouse for a couple of months before we can actually find something that we would like to purchase and start a whole new life there.

To the folks that are waiting, I'm still praying. I hate that NVC is down but I also pray that the blizzard isn't as bad as last years was - then that would probably cause NVC to be down for weeks instead of just a day and a half. It seems that the bad weather isn't going to be as bad as they are letting some flights return to NYC. Crossing fingers the reps will be in the office and working hard on everyone's cases.

I think I'll keep checking in - give you an update, a few lines and few hugs. I also can't wait to hear Solenta's case get updated and be reunited finally with her hubby. Lots of love. MoFatsD, over and out!

Awwww thank you sweet heart, it's uplifting when you and MoBar and others who are done come in to see how we're doing and God willing Feb 19 Th I'll be able to update all of you and with many prayers we will get our Visa with no more waiting immigration wise. I'm afraid to dream hahahaa I find myself holding my breath every once in a while.

Today our case updated again. After Nov 21, I emailed them Jan 14, concerned with Bangladesh's political violence, and the death threats my husband's been getting from neighbors because he's married to me... then they emailed me Jan 20, said they'd "forward to appropriate authority" -whoever that is, they didn't say...but that they were unable to predict when case would be complete, due to additional AP....then case updated Jan 20, Jan 21, and Today Jan 27.

So, it updated twice after the update, after the email...so i'm crossing my fingers, and hoping, and praying this is positive !

ha ha ha, Soloenta you are so right!! I just hope they open tomorrow. I saw someone with my scan date got CC on the 23rd. Any day now. Once they reopen, of course. I need your prayers!! Please.

Waiting on a case number (day 37)... This is so aggravating.

OMG I love your ID picture hahahaaa and your getting close just take a deep breath and try to not think about it too much. Yes I know easier said than done but if you can it's a God send.

So I have good news today, but also bad news.

Good news is that I finally have a scan date and the scan date is January 12. So I'm already over two weeks into the hypothetical 60 days.

The bad news, however, is that the 60 days is hypothetical.

Hahahaaa congrats but it just seems that way it's running about 54 days or so, so it will be over soon.

Yes that's what I read on my letter too, AT LEAST 60 days. It's worse than torture.

On the bright side, I see a bunch of December scans with CC today, yesterday there was one I think with a December 15th scan date, that's less than 60 days.

The system they have now is primitive, if they don't change it, things are going to get much worse for sure. They could limit the number of applicants per country.

They wont change it, it's to their benefit to stall us at ever step and if they could they would just toss our petitions in the trash.

It would make much more sense to move NVC to California some state warm with no tornadoes or huricanes hahahaaa we will just have to live with Earth Quakes. But then of course it would make sense so this will never happen.

Indeed hope the rest of your journey is smooth, someone has to have good luck. There was one person who went through the whole process in less than three months total but they he/she was such a snot. Thank you for the crossed fingers and the good luck we all need it.

No not long at all and it depends on the Embassy but they should start handing out interviews by next week. Actually you haven't been waiting very long at all. Just hang in there you will be getting it soon, you might have it by the end of the week, God willing.

There is a little info from people about this here....we are using our assets so sure.... we are a little bit worried how COs see this...and especially about domicile stuff.. Guys what do you think...: driving license,maintaining bank account, transferred money to us account, have sold real estate in EU, and my USC wife's kid going to school in US from last year? Ehm.....huh huh

I have a question probably some one here can help me my case got completed on January,16 today I received a letter stating(we updated the mailing/email address for this case.please continue to notify the nvc of any change of mailing/email address, or change in personal situation that may affect the principal applicants entitlement to a visa) what does that mean I never made any changes on anything I'm so confuse right help please???
