I don't know why they send those out I have received at least 5 to 7 first one was for updating my husbands address the others just because they have nothing better to do than spend money sending out useless letter hehehehee. Just got back from Egypt and checked our case status....it said:

Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On December 30, 2014, we sent your case, Receipt Number LINXXXXXXXXXXX, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing.

So what does this mean? I assume it means everything is on track and we continue to wait, or is there something I should be doing?

Did they say anything to your husband at the interview, did they keep his passport and did they give him a piece of paper with anything written on it? Would be good to post this on Dwheels link on my first page because not many people are coming to this thread right now, even less on the weekend.

No interview yet...last time I checked shortly before Christmas it said that Nebraska had received the application...then when I checked last night it said:

Oh ok I didn't understand for some reason so your files have been sent from USCIS to NVC National Visa Center so now you will have to call and see if they have your Case Number ready for you and ask for the Invoice Identification number also, you will need both to get into the NVC site.

NVC number is1(603) 334-0700 .

Congratulations this is a big step now go to Saylin's thread and read the first page over and over again this will save you time and tears in the long run, much luck to you and your loved one. :Dhttp://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/529507-nvc-filers-january-2015/

UGGGGGGGHHHHHHH why does every day feel like a month ??? It takes nearly 9 1/2 months to have a baby and a year plus to get a Visa to reunite family...somethings wrong here smileys-confused-027127.gif

Oh dear, I just saw that your husband was assigned an interview date next month! :dance: Congratulations and a belated, happy new year to you! :) I barely make it on VJ anymore after my POE, running errands and all that :blush: But still checking on you guys as promised :luv:

So glad you don't have to wait for the interview too long and that you are finally done with NVC! ;) Way to start the new year. You and your hubs will be reunited soon (L)
