Expedite can happen even after you get a checklist - That's what I ended up doing (because of financial issues) - It doesn't mean the CC gets expedited faster, it just means that, if your embassy approves, NVC just pulls your files and ships it over to the embassy and they will of course do the review of your papers and interview.

Hello VJ friends,
I have a question? Can the embassy help and any way to have NVC "expedite" the CC and send file over. Has anyone requested help from the embassy and What were the results?
thank you for your help and congratulations to everyone who has received CC lately, and best of luck for everyone waiting.

So the way that theorists on this site believe is that reps get a work load to complete over the week - it's just a stack of everyone's files and while some rep really take their job seriously and bang out more than what their weekly workload requires of them (hence some reviews that are at later dates gets completed) vs. the reps that either do less or just enough to float them by. Unfortunately it really is the luck of the draw of which rep gets your stack of files. It's sad to say that that's how we think it's being done, but I worked in a call center environment for quite sometime and can say that's basically how the process (generally) works.

So I'm so sorry that you are waiting over your 60 days for your checklist - this is unbelievable. And I am actually raging with you because thinking that they can't do checklists faster when all they have to do is check the one area that has the error. I really believe if we got someone with a six sigma belt would probably drop to the floor looking at all the errors that are being done in this process.

Chin up though, it's almost done. I know that when you are super close to your answer days feel like weeks, hours feels like days...we are here and try to keep yourself busy right now. That will hopefully make the time go by a little bit faster (easier said than done, I know). We are here for you!

Day 60 so I called NVC....no change...no review and I was told that since they were closed for 4 days during the holidays that they are running over the 60 days! I was told to call back at the end of the week... :ranting: O.K. I get that they are busy and behind a few days but why is it that others with the same or later scan dates are getting CC ? The phone person could not explain that to me....I am fed up to my eyeballs and then some

soloenta et al,

I posted this question elsewhere but I think I may have been misinformed....so now I am asking here.

the nvc talks of a 42 day wait to get a case number, and when I called the kind gentleman I spoke with repeated it was from the date the nvc received our case. so, my question is.....is this 42 business/working days or calendar days?

and similarly, once we've submitted all docs and our case is scanned, and we get the wonderful "60 days" notice......are these 60 business/working days or calendar days?

i also asked my trusted friend who is also on this journey (and I believe you sista!) who is also awaiting her interview but I thought I'd post it here to get others to chime in.....

my husband and I would like to begin planning our summer but would like to have some idea of our expected timeline at nvc (provided no more hiccups)

thanks!!!!!

When you called NVC did they tell you when your case was received? A month ago it was running about 28-30 days to get a case # (from date received) but I believe due to holidays they are a little behind so average about 35 recently. That's not scientific, just trend i've seen as I'm waiting also.

Both the "42" and "60" are calender days. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong

1. Rule number one, don't believe a word they say.

2. Never do what they say.

3. Call once in the late morning then after 6/7 pm your time every day from now until you get your CC, you should be getting it God willing in the next couple of days or so. Some it does take 60 days but it's been averaging around 54 or so. SO, call twice a day you wont regret it. :D127fs2361263.gif:yes:

And yes NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHECKLIST, please God NO checklist Labebesota will be good promise :D.
