Day 60 so I called NVC....no change...no review and I was told that since they were closed for 4 days during the holidays that they are running over the 60 days! I was told to call back at the end of the week... O.K. I get that they are busy and behind a few days but why is it that others with the same or later scan dates are getting CC ? The phone person could not explain that to me....I am fed up to my eyeballs and then some

Urghh... I really believe it will be any day now and will keep checking on here until you get it. Just remember that it's early morning there meaning that they have all day to review your checklist. Unfortunately, it appears that checklist reviews are going slower than original packages at the moment and I think I saw someone with a checklist date of Nov. 5 get CC the same day as me with a Nov. 13 scan date. Also, since my checklist was delivered on Nov. 7th, i'm wondering if the scan date they gave me of Nov. 13 wasn't accurate.

I know it's no help but interview scheduling seems to have stopped after the first couple of days of January. Therefore, as long as you get CC in the next couple of weeks you will be good for the next interview scheduling (if I understand correctly).

THANK U MY FRIEND!!! U & everyone's prayers helped and my husband got his visa!!!! They told him he will get his visa in 1 week!! The interview was straightforward and the COs were nice.

I WANNA THANK ALL MY VJ FAMILY ESPECIALLY SOLOENTA, DWHEELS, & SAYLIN, for all the support and encouragement they provided thru this journey!! I will post a review shortly....and now I can finally sleep and get very good rest.

I'm not 100% sure about this - Soloenta may know more - but I haven't seen a February or March interview scheduled after Jan 2nd. I have been mentally preparing myself for a March interview but hoping for a February slot to still be open. DWheels said on the Interview thread they will likely open March scheduling at the end of January. Alas, you are not missing out on anything (other than relief) by them taking a few more days to review.

And thats not dumb..I used to be the same way whenever I saw good news from someone in Cairo and got hope. I still need to put the interview review but been busy, hopefully i post it today or tomorrow. For me reading the interview reviews helped alot but there not so many current ones from Cairo so I wanna make sure I share that with my fellow Egyptian filers. Best of luck to u my friend and God wiling u will also have a smooth journey. ?

OMG women, how can you believe a word they say they lie out their A$$ they said the same thing to me and I called that same day and we got our CC. So call after 6 pm I bet you have your CC, NOT AT THE END OF THE WEEK. So cheer up and never, never believe them!

nvc has changed some of their phone processes..

In order to improve the efficiency and consistency of responses to the public, the Visa Office has established one point of contact for all domestic inquiries regarding nonimmigrant and immigrant visa cases. The National Visa Center (NVC) will begin handling all domestic inquiries from the public on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa cases beginning Monday, January 12, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. (EST).

The NVC is also upgrading its phone system to provide better service to our customers. Thank you for your patience while this upgrade is in progress.

can someone confirm to me how this should affect us when we call in? I am only 2 weeks new to the NVC process so I don't know if I should be more optimistic (ie that they've streamlined some practices or not).

I called them this morning promptly at 7 AM eastern time. I can say, the only difference I noticed was they now have a prompt for non-immigrant visa's. Also had a 35 minute wait instead of the typical 15-20 minute wait when calling first thing in the morning.

Awww thank you my precious friend I feel the same way and Maria & Abdo had a nice CO which is almost unheard of at that Embassy. They treat their own citizens like lepers. Thank you so much for your good wishes can't wait for you to get your Visa and finally be able to believe there is a future.

Both of you can request your interview date be changed to an earliar date so if your Embassy isn't one that is usually deep in immigration requests they will give you a earlier date. Worth the try , so cheer up there is hope ever if you don't get the interview date you want, For sure neither one of you Embassies is that busy?
