Taking a break....need to detach a bit from all this NVC stuff....no CC yet and 60 days is Monday on checklist. Thank you everyone....esp Soloenta and a couple of other ladies that shared PMs with me...your support was much appreciated. :)

Hi everyone!! Just a quick post to say: the nightmare is over!! Yesterday I had my POE at the LAX, and it was smooth, despite the huge line I had to pass through. Later I'll make a review about it. B

Hello Hello!,

Just to give everyone heads up about S&A - they got a checklist and decided (like many of us) to pull away from the threads. They decided to contact their congressman who actually contacted NVC and aided in getting them through NVC and shipped to the embassy. They are waiting for their interview as far as I know.

They actually contacted their congressman only to explain the terrible time frames and problems throughout this process (not to ask for any help in their own case) it just so happened that their congressman helped during the complaint.

So great news all around! Just thought I'd update! :D

Oh poor thing I don't blame her for not wanting to come to VJ I used to avoid it like the plague until I sent our I-130 it was just too depressing, so I can understand. Please let them know they are in my prayers and to just hang in there a little longer. Thank you so much for the update. :(t5063.gif

Husband has his interview January 11th at 7:30am Egypt time. (today Saturday Jan 10th @9:30pm Pacific US time). Please pray that all goes well in his interview. ?

I just checked CEAC Website and the date changed to last update: Jan 11th but still says Visa status READY.....i think he may be having the interview as we speak!! This is so nerve wrecking! ??

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)
