Sorry to bug you all, but I'm confused with the information posted on my wife's country's info page: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Taiwan&cty=Taipei

First off it says that we must fill out a DS-160, which is a non immigrant visa. Is this really something that we must do? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Then it says that I must apply for the I-134 affidavit of support. This also doesn't make sense to me. Didn't I already do all of this with my AOS and IV package?

Next is says that we must bring things that we've already gotten approved during the whole NVC process, such as: police certificates, birth certificates, evidence of financial support, the DS-230, and marriage certificate. Do we have to go apply and get all of these things again and bring them to the interview ourselves? Or will the package from NVC sent to the consulate contain all of these things that were needed in our AOS and IV package and we don't need to bring them?

Also, I am the petitioner and will be attending the interview. Do I need to bring my U.S. birth certificate?

I apologize for the panic. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Everything you are talking about is for the non-immigrant Visa K1. Packet 3 is a K1 thing not us. We are Packet 4 (Interview Letter packet)

You can bring if you want but you have a passport that is enough proof of citizenship.

Bem,while I agree with you that they need to update us (those who have pending interviews), I don't think it fair for you to request theirs when you cannot update your timeline for others behind you

Please excuse the late response. My hubby is scheduled for 2/23/15...why does it take so long for him to get his cheek swabbed? SMH

They have to schedule it. I know for Lagos they have 1000's of those stacked up. It's scheduled like any other interview.

1/3/14---I-130 transferred to Nebraska Service Center (called USCIS @ 1:34 P.M. to receive update)

1/6/14---Received hardcopy of I-130 transfer notice

3/10/14--Received NOA2 via text message and email @ 2:30 P.M.

3/13/14--Case left USCIS via text message and email @ 8:15 A.M.

3/14/14--Received hardcopy of NOA2

NVC:

3/25/14--Case received by NVC

4/25/14--Case number assigned by NVC

4/30/14--DS-261 submitted to NVC

4/30/14--AOS Bill received

5/01/14--IV Bill received

5/13/14--AOS and IV Bills paid

Yes DNA test does add 3 to 6 months to the process.

We got our CC on 01/22 from NVC, now we are waiting for the interview to be scheduled.

How long does this take usually for New Delhi Consulate in India? Any CC's here who have interviews scheduled or waiting for it to be scheduled @ New Delhi?

New Delhi interview scheduling starts on the 31st.. I had a cc on dec 13th and was scheduled for interview on the 31st for feb 4th. You ll hear something soon :)
