VISA Approved!!!

We had our interview this morning at the Santo Domingo embassy. There was some confusion for a few folks over the new process here with the opening of ustraveldocs. The facility is new and gorgeous but the interview itself was a horrible experience with an older female consular that was very rude and insulting the entire time. I was embarrassed that this person represented the United States to my wife. BUT, that's behind us now and my wife was approved so we are going to keep looking forward to being together soon. We are giddy with excitement as we think about going to the airport together!! I will post a detailed interview experience a little later.

Bem,while I agree with you that they need to update us (those who have pending interviews), I don't think it fair for you to request theirs when you cannot update your timeline for others behind you

I typed it up while my wife was sleeping. She was exhausted from not sleeping the night before. I feel better now that I have vented about that nasty CO at the embassy. Now the family and I are getting ready to head out to dinner to celebrate!!!

WOW thank you for the interview so sorry you and your wife had to put up with all that nonsense. I think your Co was a reject from the Cairo Embassy those monsters are notorious for being nasty. I get chills just thinking about them. Congratulations I'm happy all turned out great in the end. :D

we've a section here at VJ.

If you are using a handphone to surf VJ, please get on a real pc as the landscape is different.

My wife's interview is next month is the Petitioner's decree of divorce required for the interview day? It's not listed in P4 letter and I only sent a copy at USCIS stage.

it was required when my wife did her interview.

Petitioner's decree - copy into USCIS, certified copy given over on interview day.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

NVC scheduled it about a month ago. Interview set for 2/25

Nvc told me embassy will schedule our interview since the case was expedite. Embassy received case yesterday, hope to hear and see the "ready" on ceac site. Thank you and best of luck.

Congratulations on your case complete and your expedite approval. Now you wait for DR embassy. They are not the fastest when it comes to expedites just to let you know. Maybe they are better with the new bigger place.
