It was very fast right? Can't complain. Thanks a lot my dear.

Well book the flight tonight, but I'm really hoping to do my POE next week already! Too much time without my hubby, we can't wait to be with each other!

Omg, I'm already missing the food here! Haha good thing is in California there are a lot of Brazilian markets, so once a while (aka every week!) I can stop by and get some flavours from home!

My dad is doing great! He's eating so healthy and exercising now (thing that didn't exist befor the heart attack).

God really blessed us with this opportunity to be together on the hard times and now share the happiness!

Thank you so much for your kindness and support my friend! May God bless you!

Im glad you are done sweetie, ill be having my interview in 12 days omg cant believe it!!

enjoy your time with your family and friends, eat your food and let us know when u are state side..

Everything happens for a reason and i am glad u were with your dad during this hard time.. better times are coming your way God bless you

Hey fellow vj'ers!!!

I just wanted to write a review about my medical examination experience. This may benefit anyone living in BC, Canada.

The only panel physician in BC is Dr. Gulzar Cheema in North Delta/Surrey. I called the office and the receptionist told me to email them my full name, type of visa, case number, interview date and preferred date for medical examination appointment. The office replied back to me within 24 hrs with an appointment and I replied confirming the appointment. Attached to the email was a 12 page pdf of instructions and facts about the examination (what to bring, exam details, required vaccines, etc).

My appointment was yesterday at 8:30am. I took the 301 bus from Brighouse Richmond to Scotsdale Exchange Bay 3 (30min commute). The dr office was a few minutes away by walking. I arrived at 8:15am. Receptionist asked for my interview letter and passport first. Then asked for my immunization record and 4 passport photos. She asked me for my address in Canada and intended address in the US. She also asked if I had ever been in the US and if my stay exceeded 6 months. She went over my vaccinations and said I need a Tdapp and flu shot. (Tdapp is not available in any pharmacy in BC; you can only get this vaccine from the travel clinic in Vancouver) However, Dr. Cheema's office has a stash of this vaccine, so i didnt have to make a trip elsewhere to get the vaccine. The exam costs $280. Tdapp $45. Flu shot $25. Paid total of $350 (cash or debit only).

Next, nurse called me in and checked my height and weight. Went into the examination room, Dr. Cheema walked in and began asking questions and going over my mediacl history. General yes or no questions. Then, he began the physical exam. The nurse was in the room the entire time. Physical examination consisted of blood pressure check, chest and back breathing, pressed underarms for lumps, pressed abdoman and that was it. Next, i got the flu shot on one arm and the Tdap on the other.

Next, nurse asked me to sit for 15 minutes because I was just vaccinated. Then, receptionist called me to the counter and gave me paperwork for the xray and bloodwork. She gave me directions to the medical building. The medical building is literally a 5 min drive away, but since I bused, i just walked (30 min).

The imaging center is on the ground floor. As soon as you step foot into the building the room is on your right. Was done with xray and out in ~15min. The lifelabs is on the second floor. Walked in and took a number. Got called to the counter, gave the form, passport and healthcard. The gentlemen met me at the back and withdrew my blood. He told me not to lift anything or push/pull doors for 15 min because my arm could swell up and bleed. So, I decided to wait in the waiting room for 15 min. THE END ?

Forgot to mention that the receptionist told me I can pick up my medical package the next day after 4pm. I will pick up my package tomorrow Godwilling. This was a very long review; sorry!!!

How long does it take for it to go from "ready" to "in transit"?

Took 2 weeks to go from 'at nvc' to 'in transit' then one day from 'in transit' to 'ready'. (Our case went to Montreal).
