No DWheels, it's for the fingerprints and pictures, as of Jan 1st, 2015 they now have to go before interview to get those done. This is the email we got:

Dear Immigrant/Fiancé(e) Visa Applicant:

This e-mail is to inform you about our new immigrant visa online appointment system and the data collection now required at our Visa Application Center (VAC) in advance of the visa interview at the Embassy.

If you have an Embassy visa interview appointment made by the National Visa Center (NVC) or the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC), you must visit the website, www.ustraveldocs.com/do, Please click login on the top left side to make a VAC appointment. The VAC appointment must be made no more than two weeks before the Embassy visa appointment and at least one day before the Embassy visa interview appointment. (Choose Category 1: Visa Application Center (VAC) Appointment in the appointment system.) After your VAC appointment, Please go to your appointment that was scheduled by the National Visa Center or the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) on the date/time that was indicated in the appointment letter.

If you have an Embassy visa interview appointment made by the Consular Section in Santo Domingo, you are not required to make a VAC appointment. Please go to your appointment on the date/time indicated in the letter that was sent to you by the Consular Section.

If you have been notified by the Consular Section of the Embassy in Santo Domingo that your case is ready for your interview, you must visit the website, /www.ustraveldocs.com/do, to make two appointments, one to visit the VAC, and the other one to go to your interview in the Consular Section of the American Embassy. The VAC appointment must be made no more than two weeks before the Embassy visa appointment and at least one day before the Embassy visa interview appointment. (Choose Category 3: Visa Application Center AND Consulate/Embassy Appointment in the appointment system.) After your VAC appointment, please go to your appointment on the date/time that you scheduled your interview in the Consular Section. This e-mail address is not monitored. I so apologize just slap me . i even posted the dang Vac thing in earlier post. Good grief (bad day ya'll).

Well it says it can't be more than 2 weeks before your interview so you will have to wait another week to schedule. It's not about your case file arriving. So in another week you can schedule it. That's all. Or am I missing something.

The embassy sends the interview letters? I thought normally NVC does this.

It was an expedite so its handed by the embassy.

In packet 4 they talked about medical but no instructions will I receive the letter from consulate where to go and what needs to be done for medical? ?? Thanks in advance

Paid the $165 Immigrant Visa Fee today. It was kind of confusing.

My husband will make his POE at DFW International Airport Jan 24.

The Immigrant Visa case number provided is not ready to schedule an appointment. If you have not received an appointment letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), you can check the status of your IV case at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc.html.

This is the next step correct? I have already received our interview appointment (P4)

I got my SS card in the mail, 11 days after POE.
