You want to bring copies or originals of EVERYTHING and the reason for this is because if they lose something, that may delay the process. Instead if you have a copy of something which is lost by them, you can use the copy and wrap up the process.

My case status never updated from In transit to Ready. Four days ago I sent the following email to the embassy: "My husband, xxhuband namexxx DOB xxxxxx Casenumber xxxxxxxx has his visa interview on January 8th. When I check the CEAC website it still says that his visa papers are "In Transit" from the NVC. I just want to check with you to make sure that his documents have arrived from the NVC since his interview is in three days. Also, are there any additional documents that we need to bring to the interview beyond what is mentioned in the instructions in the P4 letter? I just want to make sure we have everything in order and have done everything we need to do before we show up on the 8th. Please advise. "

My email was never answered. I phoned the Embassy and the woman on the phone was snippy with me and said "well do you have an appointment letter?" I said "yes" she said "well then all you need to do is show up"

My husband and I reported for his CR1 interview on Jan 8th. They turned us away because the security guards were on strike so they said nobody van go inside and to come back at the same time tomorrow. We went back today and were told that our interview would be after they helped all the non immigrant visa people... sooooooo four hours later we were the third to last ones left and they called us up and told us that they didn't have the package that contained our case or the other immigrant visa cases and that they'd contact us when they got it.

Thanks to this site I knew this wasn't true as I had already confirmed with the NVC the date the case was sent and I had tracked it with DHL and it was signed for at the embassy. I insisted on something more concrete than "don't call us, we'll call you" so we finally ended up speaking with the consular officer and not just the window guy and the consular officer treated us well and showed concern. They requested our data package from the NVC and she said she'll call us on Monday. HOPEFULLY we'll wind up with an interview next week.

This is just SOOO STRESSFUL Mentally preparing and then getting sent home twice. Mentally, we're just exhausted... and physically too since we couldn't get any sleep either night thinking about the interview. Oh yeah, and We sent ALL originals to the NVC.. so they have lost all of our original documents. lovely.

I am so sorry. This has happen often with Tunisia not having case-files there on time. I hope they get their soonest.

They Gives Me 2 Envelopes In the 1st There Is My Medical Report And In The 2nd one There Is CD Of X-Ray Report

They Told Me I Dont Have To Carry The CD To The Interview.

I too had my medical completed on Dec 29th. Like your case even I got two sealed envelopes from the hospital. I have my biometrics on Jan 15 and interview on Jan 16th at Mumbai consulate. Hope u r ready for the same. :)

That last question is just so rude and I hate how arrogant and proud of their power they are! No wonder they have three inches of Plexiglass to protect them!

Guys its been exactly a month I got my cc and no interview date! Do u have any suggestions what shld I do? I wrote to both the NVC and embassy but the embassy told me the NVC will schedule it. Im so sad

Same thing happened to me, Scheduled ASC Feb. 09. Interview Feb. 10. woot!

Sorry nothing much you can do. Some embassies have longer waits than others. Writing the embassy nor the NVC will get you anything. You will just have to wait. Sorry.

Unlikely because the scheduling has been completed and February is a short month. March scheduling should start up My estimate about the 28th of this month.

Hello everyone, I have to ask a question that is very important and hopefully someone knows the answer. My wife and her mother cannot find my wife's vaccination records, they have it somewhere, but can't find it at all. My wife is going to her medical exam on Wed coming up. What happens if she can't find it by then? Her mom says she had all her vaccines when little, but if they don't find the record, now what??? Dominican Republic U.S. Embassy btw.

It's okay. The doctor will ask her questions about childhood illnesses and such and what she had vaccinations for. She can even request that titer test (see whats in her really) its based on her answers is how doctors determine what shots a person gets.

Most people only ever get the 3 shots anyway MMR/DTP and I forget the other and I don;t know if its flu season and if she is 18 to I think like 20 something they might have to get meningitis.

So its okay if she don't have.
