Sorry just saw this.

WOW. No you can't fight it. It happens all the time. The reason they are asking because they are questioning the validity of your relationship. In a word they want to know Is he the father.

I have seen this recently. I have had 3 friends who had to go through it so it happens. Get it done soon as possible. It's going to take about 2 months to get done and results back to embassy.

If you just want to get this over and done with just comply. Choose one of the AABB labs in your area. Once done. Then they will contact him he will go to embassy and take a swab also. They will send that to the lab. They will run the test and once they get the results they will call him in and give him the results. Visa given.

I am so sorry this is happening to you (remember delayed not Denied). If you need any help or guidance what lab let me know

Thank you so much, DWheels! I will get it done A.S.A.P.!

Thank you!!!

I hope February is still open. The rep told me they're waiting to hear from London for an interview date but she didn't say whether they're still scheduling. At least February is a short month if i have to wait until March.

A page in my p4 letter came blank. There's nothing in it about medical scheduling but I scheduled it already because I have knowledge of how to. There's also nothing about registering for passport delivery. Do I have to register online. Kingston embassy.

Yes you have to register online at this site. https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv/users/sign_in

You will need your passport number and DS260 confirmation number.

Well my daughter picked up her passport today from DHL. Interview was on 12/18/14 and USVISA emailed me with tracking number on 12/29/14. Visa package was picked up today and I'm heading from this sub 30 degree weather next week to spend a week in some 90 degree sun : ), and have POE on 1/21/15 in ATL. This part of the journey is over. Thanks to all the folks on visa journey who assisted along the way.

Hi dwheels, can you see my question below in case you can confirm? Thank you!

I am filing my taxes in early February and my interview is on Feb. 25th. From my understanding, I will need to provide the consulate with a copy of my newly filed taxes/W2/1098/1099, etc. as well as newly filled out and signed I-864EZ form correct? I will attach my paystubs from original I-864EZ form plus the additional stubs from later in the year. Is there anything else I will need?

Please advise, thank you.

Is there any particular reason why you are filing in early February? If you can, wait until after the interview and then file. Then you will not have to worry about ANYTHING regarding 2014 taxes. The Embassy/Consulate will NOT be expecting you to file.

If you do need to file, you should bring your 2014 taxes and copies of every piece of paper you have to support your income (W-2s, 1099s, etc). Don't bring it up at the interview unless they specifically ask for it.

My advice? Wait to file until after you have the visa in your hands.

Sukie in NY

I second this because you sure don't want a CO to put you in AP just so they can double check your work and call or investigate. Not saying they will but remember this didn't go through NVC and well you never know. Just leave everything the way it is Go there with just end of year W2 to show what ya made izzy pizzy I say.

Thank Sukie. I am falling asleep at the wheel. :sleepy: (staying warm in New York!!)
