It's hard to say because you are less than a month away and your casefile is yet to be at the embassy. And the embassy likes some time to prepare especially Lagos likes a few weeks. So I hope your file gets there soonest.

Quick question...

My case status changed to "In Transit" today around noon my time... 12 hours later my status now is "Ready". How's that possible? This means my case is already at the consulate?

I am filing my taxes in early February and my interview is on Feb. 25th. From my understanding, I will need to provide the consulate with a copy of my newly filed taxes/W2/1098/1099, etc. as well as newly filled out and signed I-864EZ form correct? I will attach my paystubs from original I-864EZ form plus the additional stubs from later in the year. Is there anything else I will need?

Please advise, thank you.

Hello all! My hubby had his interview on December 18, 2014. They told him at the interview that he will receive his visa once he provides phone records and complete his vaccinations.

Today he submitted the requested documents to the Embassy. He was then told that our family will need to take a $600 DNA test to prove that we are the parents of our daughter.

I was 5.5 months pregnant when I left Senegal. Our daughter has been with me ever since. Why is this happening? I have looked on this website to find a similar situation; I've had no luck.

Do I have a good chance at fighting this? What should I do? Any advice would be helpful.

WOW. No you can't fight it. It happens all the time. The reason they are asking because they are questioning the validity of your relationship. In a word they want to know Is he the father.

I have seen this recently. I have had 3 friends who had to go through it so it happens. Get it done soon as possible. It's going to take about 2 months to get done and results back to embassy.

If you just want to get this over and done with just comply. Choose one of the AABB labs in your area. Once done. Then they will contact him he will go to embassy and take a swab also. They will send that to the lab. They will run the test and once they get the results they will call him in and give him the results. Visa given.

Hi everyone!

My husband and I were assigned our interview 12/31. I am now trying to get together everything we need for his interview. On the letter emailed to me there is a list of documents with letters next to them each document that it says we send says it is going to the consulate. So my question is what exactly does my husband need to take to his interview? 1.Passport pictures 2.His passport 3.The interview letter emailed to us 4.Pictures and messages between the two of us 5.His birth certificate 6.A police certificate 7.My Tax information and other sponsors??

Yep that's about it. This is the time people should be reading their countries interview reviews. See what the CO's like to see and what do they ask for. Like for Nigeria they like Phone logs and they Love love pictures of folks and them with family.

So read up on that.

Bring what ever you feel you need to bring or forgot to load up on to show your evidence of a bonafide relationship. pics, communication. all that fun. ya know. Whatever you sent to NVC they will have. If you have copies of what you sent sure that won't hurt to have (just in case). If there is any update to I-864 you need to bring.

Must of all Relax (haha right) it will be fine. You are approved. No AP. Your hunny is coming home.

Plus, a refund wouldn't hurt as additional money for the expenses at Juarez

Have you called NVC to see if Lagos is done? I had heard they had completed scheduling. But you should call to verify.

A page in my p4 letter came blank. There's nothing in it about medical scheduling but I scheduled it already because I have knowledge of how to. There's also nothing about registering for passport delivery. Do I have to register online. Kingston embassy.
