I have a question when scheduling biometrics appt for Mexico:

I get two options after I chose immigrant visa. In order to create the applicant, I have to chose one of 3 options below:

(1) I need to register an immigrant visa appointment

(2) I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to schedule an appointment

(3) I need to register for a K visa appointment

I know it's not number 3 but unsure if it's #1 or #2. I already have my P4 letter so I am inclined to chose 2?

Hi,

Yes, you have to register at the website (www.ustraveldocs.com/in) BEFOREHAND and take an appointment for the biometric on some day before your interview date. This is mandatory, failure to which they will not entertain you at the consulate for interview. This place is also where you specify how you would like to collect your passport after interview and visa approval.

The biometrics can be done anywhere within India, but must proceed your interview.

I know this is weird question. but can they tell me that we will not issue your visa on the 12th we need more time to study your case? or is it approved since the officer told me that?

Yes. They can always change their mind. I just saw a post where that happened to someone. Approved then they got put in AP and it's almost a year later and they are still waiting. I have seen it happens to people I know.

A CO who maybe shouldn't have approved you then the supervisor reviews and say Nope. It does happen. Not to worry dear.But to answer your question yes it happens.

Thanks DWheels76! 2 questions: what do you mean by we have to register after we get our appointment? it looks like it says right on there that if we already have an appointment, we don't need to do anything. And second, what does this mean? "Applicants must pay the full $265us at the cashier inside Consulate on the day of the interview/cita. and pay $11 for visa deliver after approval". I thought I paid every few already with the exception of the medical and the $165 after the interview.

My husband had his medical done today in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

It seems everything went find. But even though we brought his complete vaccination records from his birth, he had several vaccinations. Total cost was $376USD.

Interview is on Wednesday.

I checked everywhere and couldn't find anything about fingerprints. I will also email the embassy to find out for sure.

Also do I have to pay the fee before the interview at the consulate or where do I pay the fee?
