Hi everyone, I've been a frequent poster lately sorry about that all of you people are wonderful and I appreciate you all.

Question, I live in Connecticut and am marrying my fiance who lives in Uganda she also has a child that will eventually be coming to the USA and I will legall adopt her all in due time. For now where do I send the k1-packet?

Can someone help me understand the filing fee for this do i make a check out for 340 and just include my fiances name and her child's name or do I make the check out for 680?

THANK YOU

Everyone sends the K1 application to the Dallas Lockbox and it will be forwarded to the appropriate service center. I'm not sure which one that will be for you but pray to whoever you like that you end up at CSC. They are processing applications in just a few weeks. I went through TSC and just got my NOA2 after 6+ months. It was stressful to say the least.

I'm not 100% positive but I'm pretty sure that it's only $340 and her daughter will be considered included. I hope someone can verify this for you. Best of luck on the process ahead and I hope it goes by easily for you.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if it matters to which one the package gets sent to? Is there one that the whole approval process is much quicker or are they pretty equal the lewisville just gets there a day or two sooner?

Hi,

It depends on what service you are going to choose. If its a standard mail sent with USPS Dallas Lockbox, if its an express or courier delivery you should post it to Lewisville address http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f-addresses. From there they will redirect your petition to the correct service center. So at this point there is no matter to which address you will sent your application as they are only sorting them and transfer to the right centers where they will work on it.

Thank you all so much. Do you think it matters too much in how fast we are approved in the overall process on if we send to dallas or lewisville?

not at all.. it matters were your papers will be routed there's two serviCe Centers processing K1 which are CSC (California Service Center) or TSC (Texas Service Center) and they will based on your where state you lived.

Of no consequence. Both addresses (one for USPS, one for UPS, FedEx, etc.) end up at the same USCIS Lewisville TX lockbox location for initial processing and are then routed to the respective USCIS Service Centers.

There is just one address to send your I-129f petition to. That is the Dallas Lockbox.

Correct if if I am wrong VJ posters, but I thought the Eastern half of the US states go to the dreaded TSC and the Western half go to the CSC?

If so, we live in NY and it took 7 months almost to the date (with a quick turnaround RFE). Would have been 6 months otherwise..

Please click on the "Guides" tab at the top of the 'home page' then the K-1 and K-1 flow chart.

It really helped me, and I would just suggest you print in out, for future reference, so you will not forget anything.

As for where your K-1 goes, as another OP said, if it is TSC, expect +6months after NOA1, if you get lucky and go to CSC, it might be 1-4 months. ""This is just my guesses, and have 'NO' merit"" it is just an opinion.

I wish you God's speed, and a speedy approval. Read and study the K-1 info., on the "Guides" tab, 'home page'
