HELLO EVERYONE,

AOS fee changed from paid to n/a. So happy but will confirm tomorrow on phone. we had checklist email on 13th january. sent response on 14th january . scan date 15th january. just checked n/a on 30th jan(India). so 29th jan in USA..

This definitely proves NVC may not take 60 days for everyone. They have their own way of working at very random speed. :)

First of all, congratulations!

Definitely call them up tomorrow, and post updates here please. Good luck!

Hi everyone, first time poster, long time follower of this forum. Just wanted to report that I checked and got 3 N/As on the CEAC website today. The NVC got our case from USCIS back on August 13 2014, assigned our case number on September 3, and our original scan date for the IV was October 14 (We sent our AOS earlier on September 15). Got a checklist for the AOS at the beginning of December, immediately sent in the revised form and got a new scan date of December 4.

Was feeling pretty excited to see the third N/A pop up since I've been checking two or three times a day for at least a month. Tried calling the NVC to confirm while they were still open earlier (both directly and with Saylin's new DOS transfer trick). Was met with a message reporting that all of their lines are busy and to call back later and then it just hung up without putting me on hold. Tried several times, but got the same message. Will try again tomorrow to confirm, but looks like good news. Thanks for everyone contributing on here with your stories and info. It's been a really great resource and source of moral support through this trying process. Good luck to everyone still waiting! I'll try to remember to post when I've actually gotten through to the NVC and heard it from them officially.

Well i guess it's time for me to post.

Long time member and second time going down the visa journey.

I'll update my timeline later when i get time.

My wife and step son are Chinese.

We started the process back on 08-01-2014

Got through USCIS in 32 days.

been at NVC for little over a 5 months.

Paid all the fees and jumped through all the hoops that NVC likes us to do.

Waited the 60 days (Scan date 11/28/2014) and on the 61st day the CEAC site shows 3 N/A.

Case complete and NO check list.

I'm not even going to bother calling NVC for i know how it works by now.

I'll just wait until this time next week when NVC sends me the email.

Good luck all, I'll be headed off to Guangzhou soon.

I filled out my DS-261 2 weeks ago and called NVC this morning to see if they could review it to invoice my IV fees. She said sorry I need to wait til they get to it. Spoke with Abby.

She was polite but they won't always review because of a call like many others have had luck with. Think I'll just wait it out since my packages are already sent in. She confirmed it is okay and suggested to send AOS & IV packages BEFORE the IV bill is invoiced.

She also confirmed that our scan date is Dec 22nd, which was the date when NVC received in body of letter NOT the date at the top of the letter. Just FYI for those like me wondering.

FYI ~ So my first (of MANY, I know) shot at calling NVC to check to see if cases have been received (yes I know it's a long shot, but eh...) lol the regular NVC number gave the automated message of "lines are really busy, try again later" and disconnected. The "backdoor" method of getting the DOS number to connect you to NVC ended in the same result....

meh, it was worth a shot ;)

Oh, and calling on the computer via Google Hangouts worked well (and free!!) yay!

So i called to get my interview date and apparently my case is with a supervisor for final review.

So I dont have a completed case (which i thought I did since december 30th, and was confirmed many times by NVC reps).

I shall keep on waiting. lol. This is too funny now hahaha.

EDIT: Anyone know how long a supervisor review takes? does it take the full 42 days?

Hi Kels,

I completed my DS-261 on 15/1/2015 and was able to pay my IVF fee on 23/1/2015 and sent out AOS and IV with respective cover sheets on the same day. Its amazing how for some people IVF invoice 2 days after AOS.

I would call again and hope you do not get Abby.

You mean you scan date is Jan 22 not Dec 22nd?
