I think most or many countries allow you to apply for the police clearance while outside of the country. I am not sure about Yemen and how the political climate may change that. Do a google search " Yemen official police clearance living out of country" or something similar.

Hi all. My case # and IIN were received 1-15 (thursday evening) and I'm still unable to pay my AOS fee even though my DS-261 was available immediately. Anyone experienced similar problems? I'll try to call tomorrow after the holiday just looking for some peace of mind haha.

Thanks!

You can read the good news here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/YM.html#policerecords-6

EVERYONE should be reading the reciprocity tables for their country for EVERY civil document needed. Each country is different and has specifics on if it's available or not and in some countries, EXACTLY where you must get it from.

Thanks Saylin I did read the reciprocity table for Yemen. I have to be physically present witch I can't for now because the situation over there. Do you think I can contact the U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia and they can write me a letter state that I can't issue police clearance from Yemen and state that Saudi Arabia police clearance is enough? Or should I contact NVC and request supervisor to speak with?

Did you not read what it says? The police certificate is only available to those physically present in Yemen and that it's unavailable to all others. You don't need to do anything at all.

In the beginning of our case we vist the U.S. consulate in Saudi Arabia to meet immigration consular to discuss what we need through our case process and he mention because I am originally from Yemen and lived there over college time that when it's comes to send you IV package you have to provide two police certificate and you have to travel to Yemen to get one since they require physical present. Do you see why I am confused here!? ? Edited by Ba3lwi

Hello everyone,

I have a question. When we sent documents to NVC, we sent everything( financial documents and supporting documents) in one package. They took 60 days to review and just before a week , We received checklist for AOS.

1. Does that mean they have reviewed my supporting documents? Because I believe they send separate checklist for AOS and IV, if there is anything wrong. I could not find a checklist which says to fix something related to AOS , as well as something related to birth certificate or PCC or marriage certificate in the same checklist..

Or

2. Will They review it after we correct all the mistake related to AOS first ?
