Hi all,

I received a second checklist from NVC today and it is very disheartening. I want to find out if anyone has experienced this before and if it also takes another 60 days.. Pls help I am very sad...thank you.

What was first checklist for and whats second checklist for? Did you make any changes when you responded to first checklist. Thanks

Not to be a dream crusher but that was 80 days from case # assigned. Right now that can take anywhere from 1-2 months from NOA2.

Just so you have a better expectation Hopefully they speed up with assigning case numbers! Wish you luck with your coming NOA2 and rest of the process!

Oh, that I know... even from their timeline, it was about 4-ish months from the NOA2 date.... but even 80 days from case # is good My goal is to be able to do POE in August at the latest so that my girls can start at their new school.... so the sooner we get out NOA2, the sooner all the other steps will come too ((trying hard to hold on to even a little optimism....when the reward at the end of this journey is having my family all under one roof, it's worth it!! ))

Congratulations SRS77!!! Yay! we have the same timelines and I also called and confirmed Case Complete today!! 11/17 scan date of AOS & IV together. See you over on the "interview thread" We're getting through this!!!!

Congratulations to you too! It feels so great to be out of NVC with no checklists! I've already been approved for an expedited interview at the embassy (I am 37 weeks pregnant and PRAYING my husband makes it before our baby is born) so I am hoping to have an interview in the next few weeks. We are already done with the medical, just waiting for NVC to send the case to the embassy and get an interview scheduled. Good luck on the rest of your journey!

I have similar question:

I have got one cover letter from NVC with my "welcome" letter, it has checklist for all documents for both packages as well as barcode with my case number. Now I have got another cover letter in email that says I should put it on top of my AOS package but it has just some info, address to send to and barcode with case number on it, but no checklist for docs. Which one should I include in my AOS package?

And if I use that one with doc checklist should I make two copies of it and fill out first part (financial docs) for AOS pack and second part for IV docs pack leaving the other part blank respectively?

Did you get an answer? You should include AOS and IV cover letter. Reading NVC wiki there say to put each package in its own envelope and mark AOS and IV and then all to one manila envelope together. What about checklist document letter? i think that I am complicated too much where is no need to complicate:)

I was trying to call nvc but phone is busy all day yesterday and today is the same , is anyone having this problem ? Scandate was 11/21 waiting cc. Thnx

I literally called 75 times in a row last night to confirm my case complete. Busy signal, hang up, call again....75 times. Then on hold for 45 minutes to speak to a rep for 3 minutes. Insanity. The key is don't give up, keep calling, you will get through!

It took a while to get through to NVC today 45 min. on hold. A very nice customer service person named "Anna" confirmed that as of today Jan. 12th we have Case Complete!!! 11-17 scan date for IV & AOS packs submitted together. Made it through USCIS 5 months...no RFE's - NVC -80 days since case # assigned ~ no checklists No Lawyers ~ just all the wonderful guidance offered here on Visa Journey's and 100's of hours of google searching. Thank you VJ and the internet...I can't imagine what this navigating this process would be like without you

45 minutes on hold for me too last night. I also called 75 times in a row before getting through to be put in the queue, getting a busy signal every time. Persistent to the point of insane! My mentality is they can make it as difficult as possible but they will not win, there is no giving up.

Your wife is (or should be) included in part 3, at item 1: "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2". Then at item 7 you enter 1, as you are totalling up all immigrants from item 1 through 6.

see this is why this forum is so awesome! I should have seen that, but I get so stressed out worrying about checklists and stuff.

I just spoke with NVC representative and he confirmed that interview is scheduled on 4th Feb, 2015. I am scared. I don't see enough time for doing medical. What about the file that NVC yet has to send to embassy?? Is there enough time to do all the needed formalities???

I am excited and happy but worried at the same time.....

How can I get police certificate for my husband? He lived in Panama for over a year. I found the address online. Do I just send them a copy of our NOA2 when I request it ? I want to make sure I have the IV package ready . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to find out from local police authority of panama by emailing or calling them or just search up their local government websites real good. They may have a set procedures just like any other country.
