Case # finally assigned !

USCIS : 7 months
Marriage : March 21, 2014
I-130 Sent : April 18, 2014
I-130 NOA1 : April 22, 2014
I-130 Approved: November 14, 2014 ( after two service request) 

NVC: 6 months
Received : December 1, 2014
Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : January 1, 2015
Pay AOS Bill : January 9, 2015
Submit DS-261 : January 7, 2015
Receive IV Bill : January 15, 2015 called after AOS showed paid, they released it overnight)
Pay IV Bill : January 23, 2015
Send IV and AOS: January 29, 2015
Scan date: February 3, 2015
Checklist: March 19, 2015 (only need to send south Africa police report)
Case Complete: June 3, 2015 

EMBASSY: 10 months
Interview appointment letter : December 4, 2015
Interview Date : January 21, 2016 medical wasn't complete
Second interview date: April 4th 2016
Interview Result :APPROVED!!!
Visa Received : 4/13/2016 ( they sent us a email stating our visa was ready for pick up)

USA LIFE
US Entry :4/29/2016 
Social Security : 5/10/2016 (filed from the actual office)
State ID: 5/14/2016
Started working!!: 5/25/2016
Finally paid green card fee: 6/24/2016 ( note said we will receive it within 60 days)
Green card in hand: 7/5/2016 10 year green card we done!! 

1st king born: 6/30/2016

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good

Congrats !!! I got CC as of today..

I got Case Complete as of yesterday!! Last scan date Nov 7th for AOS checklist.

Atlanta, GA (MM-DD-YYYY)
I-130 (IR-1) TIMELINE [MUMBAI CONSULATE]
07-02-2020 - I-130 SENT
06-01-2021 - APPROVED

NVC
06-06-2021 - Recevied NVC case no. - case entered into nvc's system

06-08-2021 - AOS fee
06-08-2021 - IV fee
07-05-2021 - IV & AOS documents submitted online

07-19-2021 - received message from NVC about case can not be processed unless all civil documents are submitted (was missing police clearance)

08-12-2021 - submitted police clearance certificate - which was last document submitted to NVC

11-05-2021 - Case completed at NVC - DQ

03-31-2022 - Interview letter received

04-28-2022 - Interview date at mumbai embassy

So we FINALLY got all the police certificates we were waiting for, now I just need my amended tax returns (which I filed end of September) according to IRS it takes UP TO 12 weeks to be able to access transcripts for amended tax returns, which we now are past. So, now that I have my packets together ready to send in I have not been able to access these transcripts online, and when I call they say the "system is down until January 12"....

My question: Do I wait a week to be able to download official tax transcripts to send in my IV/AOS packets OR do I simply send copy of my amended return (prepared by my accountant?) I know this could generate a checklist as NVC prefers the transcript. But it has been OVER a year my husband and I are separated! Every week counts, every day....Advice would be welcome...

From what I heard here on this website, transcripts aren't updated after an amended tax return is processed. They'll still show the old amounts.

If you need to submit an amended return to NVC, then just provide a copy of the entire amended return, the outdated transcript, and perhaps a letter explaining why you were amending your return.

NVC doesn't issue checklists asking for transcripts. They issue checklists to people who submitted returns because they didn't provide the ENTIRE tax return (1040, W2s, 1099s, schedules, worksheets, etc). But, you're right that they do prefer transcripts (obviously, as it's less papers, more concise, and actual proof you filed your taxes), but in some instances, it may not be possible.

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH NVC. GUESS WHAT!!!! GUESS WHAT!!!!....

CASE COMPLETE AND IN LINE TO SCHEDULING FOR INTERVIEW

Wht do we consider as scan date?

The date when we got an email or the date on the letter on which they received?

If anyone can please answer this question? Thanks

When you will call them next time listen to the date when they say they got your document scanned in the system. Thats the scan date. They may received your documents today but scan date may be as of tomorrow. Good luck.

What was your scan date? Is your timeline correct that you sent docs on 11/18?

If so thats fantastic news!

My scan date was the 12/1 as they tell me so my case complete shouldnt be far off.
