Staring down the barrel of a 2 year processing time for routine K-3

We have hit every single roadblock so far.

I-130? Request for Evidence. Approval time took 14 mos. Also had to contact my senator to move it along.

NVC? Paid for AOC, when we tried to pay for the next bit, their payment system broke. We were finally was able to pay TODAY, but they still haven't released the DS-260 to us yet. Our lawyer is telling us 3-5 mos just to process, then another 2-3 for the interview.

And please nobody take this the wrong way, but we're not trying to do anything crazy here. She's never been in trouble, and I am a citizen, also never been in trouble.

Is anybody else who started around August of 2013 looking at a 2 year process for a routine K-3? Or is it just us

I have heard of similar stories here on VJ. You are not alone if that even helps. This entire process can literally drain the sanity out of us.

I hope you have already prepared the paperwork and civil documents for submission to NVC. Good luck!

There is absolutely no document intake at the NVC level for K3. Also a K3 required both the I-130 and I-129F to be filed.

You are on the IR1 route.
