I have a Filipina friend and her husband is petitoning his Mother from the Philippines. His husband is confused what affidavit of support he will fill up? I-864EZ say number 1 letter b question I am using only my own earned or retitrement income, he and his wife have joint filling in theirtaxes. Does he need to check yes or he needs the I-864?

does he make enough to sponsor for himself or will he need his wife as a joint sponsor?

if he needs his wife to combine income, then he would file the i864 and his wife the i864A

if not he can use either one
