Matt is planning on using Excess Baggage for shipping once he's received his visa. How long does it take for them to send boxes? Does anyone know or could anyone recommend someone better? Unfortunately, there still has been no update on his case status. After his interview on December 19th, he was shoved a blue paper and told to send his proper police certificate in. Oddly enough, Knightsbridge made a mistake and kept his certificate. I've been told they don't do this, but he never got it when he left, and he had an envelope with him with other paperwork from them. He contacted ACPO and they sent one straight to the embassy, but his consular didn't write down her name, nor did she tell him her name, so it didn't go directly to her. I'm worried, because it should have received last week and there has been no case update on his CEAC status. Any information on either of these topics would be helpful.

How much longer do you think we have to wait until it's updated?

And what about the shipping? How long did it take others to be able to move here after receiving your visa?

I want Matt here as soon as possible...this is killing me.

I am the petitioner.

I don't know about the police certificate, but here's my experience with Excess Baggage:

In my own research, Excess Baggage was the best option for shipping, and so I used them. They have been very professional so far. My items were collected on the 7th of November, and I am in the US now and their American counterpart confirmed delivery of my boxes on the 11th of January. So two months in total. As for the mailing of the boxes, I lived in London, so I got them in 2 days after I had arranged for it over the phone.

Nich-Nick, Matt's CEAC status has been updated twice this week...but still says administrative processing. Do you think this means it will be issued soon?

I really don't pay attention to timelines and status updates so don't know. Seems to be an indication the case is at least getting some action instead of just sitting there, unless you emailed and that caused the case to be pulled up.
