Jawaree I918 is used for U visa. It usually takes 3-4 weeks to get a receipt notice.She/he will have fingerprints and after fingerprints done they will adjudicate the petition. U visa adjudication takes 8/12 months.

Make sure the alien submitted the form I918 to "USCIS Vermont Service Center 75 Lower Welden St -St. Albans VT 05479-0001"

Hello everyone,.I'm so worry because I applied I-485 twice. Here is my timeline,is there somebody that had a case like mine? Your advice would greatly appreciated.

12/09/13- US entry as K1 fiancee

03/08/14- married my US citizen fiancee

09/21/14- filed I-485

11/16/14- biometrics appointment was set but I was unable to go because I left my abusive husband.

12/19/14- filed 1-360 vawa self petition

01/02/15- NOA fee waived

01/05/15- received RFE bonafied marriage

02/17/15- sent Evidence

04/13/15-received Prima Facie Case

06/26/15- applied I-485,i765,i-912 to Vermont service center

07/07/15- received NOA for I-485, receipt notice says Fee Previously collected. Section:Adjustment as direct beneficiary of Immigrant petition. What does it mean?

- also received NOA receipt for i765,says fee waived.

My question is about my i485, I checkex the status online from my first i485,it says they suspended it because they need for information from me. They mailed the notice to my husbands address. I just able to change my address online yesterday following the instruction base on the noticed.

Can anyone advice me what to do about my I-485? I filed 2 application. First was when I was with my abusive husband. Second is the one under VAWA. What should I do? Do I have to withdraw the first i-485? Or the second one? My VAWA is still under Prima Facie and waiting for the approval. Please shed a light.

Very interesting. I wonder if that's some kind of policy change.

Like I stated somewhere before we only know what we know by either from our own personal experience or from the experience of others, who volunteer to share in the forum. I don't know if it is a matter of policy to have every Vawa petitioner interviewed, but what I do know is that there's always an exception to every rule. If a case is convincingly beyond any iota of doubts what is the need to waste time scheduling and organizing interview if I may ask you? Edited by onye uwaoma
